We were on the 9-11-04 cruise and rebooked for 9-17-05. I look forward to meeting others!

I have my hubby and two kiddos who will be 11 (dd) and 7 (ds) at the time of sailing.

HI-we'll be there as well! just got back form the shortened 9/25 magic cruise and already booked for 9/17/2005. we are leaving DH at home as he didn't really enjoy the chaos of the last cruise-hoping he'll change his mind for the 9/16/2006 DCL cruise! it will be me (Darcy ) and my children DD 10 and DS 10 at time of cruise. as we get closer lets see if we can start a list. we had about 20 for the 9/25 cruise and met some great people. we are even booking on the same cruise with a great family that we met! well, lots of time before then.

We're in...............me, DH, DD 12, DS 10 and DS 7. Nana and Papa as well. Trying to get some more to tag along with us! It will be our 3rd cruise. We will be using our discount voucher from our September 25th Magic fiasco (thanks to Jeanne).

We are crazy, 3rd year in a row during hurricane season, fingers and toes are crossed.......................

Boy, there's not many of us yet!!! I wonder if some are hurricane-scared?

Our first 2 cruises were October (3-night Wonder) and May 2004 (Western). The weather was great!

I can't wait to go again! Eastern this time - new for us!

Hi Karen-welcome to the thread! we weren't scared away by the hurricanes. we were actally stranded in florida waiting to board the 9/25 (oops 9/27)cruise! and we booked again for the same time next year and the year after that! we had a great list of cruisers for that one-we met some great DISboard members and are actually cruising again with missyoh8 on the same cruise. hopefully we get more to respond as we get closer and we can get a list going and arrange for a DISboard meet and greet!

Hello. This is MissyOH8's sister, Mary. She has convinced us (DH, DD 9, DD 7) to cruise with all of you. We too cruised the Western this fall on the Magic (10/9), but managed to miss the hurricanes. We are looking forward to the Eastern route as we have sailed the west a few times, now.

Darcy, I am looking forward to meeting you. Hopefully, we will not tour south Florida together on this trip. Although, I hear you hotel in Ft. Myers Beach was fantastic.

Just want to try to keep this towards the top so others who are going with us can find it easily!!!

We're getting quite a little group going already! This is exciting! For our first cruise last year, we didn't even know about DISboards, so we missed out on the whole meet thing. I'm really looking forward to meeting others on the cruise! We sailed in Sept of '03, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. I realize that Sept is a risky time to cruise, but we're pretty flexible people, so IF things get crazy again next year like they did this year, then we'll just roll with it. (But we'll be keeping our fingers & toes crossed too!!! )

Also, just for the sake of counts, no children here either. Just 2 grownups who occasionally like to act like kids!!!

I know we still have 10 months to go, but it seems like time is just FLYING by so far (with the holidays quickly approaching) so it's never too early to start getting giddy, is it?!?!

Hi Christal,
I see your countdown timer-what are you graduating in?
We were right in the "crazy" weather this September-Hurricane Jeanne Cruise 9/25 oops 9/27 cruise. I am keeping every body part that is crossable, crossed for no repeat of that experience. although we had a blast on the cruise-it was our first-so we missed out on all the little extras that we had heard about on the boards. the DCL terminal, the sail away party..so we are giving it another try. with the knowledge from the last cruise-if we see a hurricane in the vicinity two days before we are due to sail-we'll cancel if given that option. i just hope it doesn't repeat itself not for us but for all those still trying to piece their lives back together after this awful season!

I am giddy too! Are we there yet?

I'll have my BT in Architecture. I can't wait. But then comes the scary part...getting a real job!
I'm excited too (obvioulsy). I've been working long and hard for it, and it feels good to be almost finished. The upcoming cruise next year is actually a "celebration" cruise!

We booked our cruise in January, after our first cruise the month before (Dec. 13-20 Magic). We are a family of 6 (4 kids and 2 semi-adults). We had 2 adjoining cat. 6 cabins for our first cruise and for this one, we were able to snag a Cat. 2!! I cannot wait! Our kids will be 5, almost 7, 9 and 13 for this trip.

Your oldest-are they boys or girls? I am traveleing with my 9 (will be 10) year old twins boy/girl. DS already has a friend from the previous cruise 9/25 (oops 9/27) Hurricane Jeanne cruise that will be there, but I am looking for a email pal for DD. Let me know!

My 13yo is a girl and my 9 yo is a boy. My son doesn't do much emailing; we haven't given him his own address yet, but my daughter regularly emails and IMs. She and Webmaster Alex's daughter met up on our first cruise and still talk regularly.

Helo and Goodbye fellow 9/17 cruisers-due to a change of plans-we are cancelling our cruise! Sad but true, we are still booked for the 2 stop CC 9/16/2006 so our hearts are not to heavy. we are also replacing it with a summer trip to Universal Orlando where we have never been before! So have a great cruise! Missyoh8-can you make it without us? LOL! Have fun-we will miss being there with you-I will keep my fingers crossed for you as well!

Sorry your plans had to change. But at least you have the other cruise to look forward to. We'll miss you. I'm looking forward to the meet on board, because the first cruise we went on was pre-DISBoards, so I didn't have a clue about any of these wonderful people! Maybe we'll get chance to meet on another cruise! We did Universal Orlando a few years ago and LOVED it! You'll have a great time there.
