Please share your FP tips. Hubby and I may be going either before or after cruise. Finally going with out the kids so we can actually go on the fast rides. If we do go before, I will be sure to get you a map for DCA. Just not sure when we will be able to do it but need to go before Sept 30th because our passes expire.

Glad to. I don't know if you have noticed, but on your FP there are two sets of time. The one in smaller print has the time that you can get another FP from either the same ride or another ride. The bigger time slot, of course, is that in which you can return to ride the ride.

You usually can get another FP an hour after you get the first one. However, it may be several hours before you can actually ride the ride of the first FP. So, you just collect another one. Then, what usually happens, is that all of your FP are able to be used during the same time slot. And sometimes the FP have expired. But, you can still use those for the most part. I have yet to have a CM deny me enetry due to an expired FP, although, I have heard that every once in a while, it does happen.

One day we had four FP at one time. Made for a great day. Also helps if you get some of the biggies out of the way first, ie, rides without FP, like Peter Pan. Love that ride but, the line for it gets long very fast.

I think it's the efficiency (or lack thereof) as well as the popularity. If they made it more like The Little Mermaid at DCA where you just have to jump onto a moving shell the line would be much faster. But they have to stop every ship, wait for everyone to get situated and then let you go.

I read that disembarkation on 9/23 will begin around 0930... how long will it actually take to get off the ship? How much longer are passengers permitted to stay onboard? Trying to arrange for transportation at a reasonable time without having to rush off the ship. =)

Each person is given a luggage tag with a particular Disney character. Once that character name is annouced you can begin disembarkation, however you can stay longer if you wish. I believe everyone has to be off the ship by noon or just a little sooner at the very latest because preparations obviously have already begun to accept the new passengers.

It may be different on the west coast, but on the DCL cruises we have taken out of FL you are assigned a breakfast time based on your regular dining schedule (first seating usually has breakfast around 7:30am and second seating 8:30am) and then they expect you to disembark as soon as you leave the dining room.

I think that the problem is that you are "flying through the air" on the Peter Pan ride and therefore they have to make sure that you are strapped in.

They do the breakfast on the west coast as well it's just that if you have any luggage that you left outside your stateroom the previous evening it's not in the staged pick-up area until after your character tag is called.

If I remember correctly, we were off by 8:00 for the 2-day cruise we did a couple years ago. I am hoping that is the same for this cruise as we may hit Disneyland on the way home.

I think that first dining is 6:00am. Not sure, though.

Just in throes of packing my FE stuff. Mike asked why one bag was so heavy... I was like ooh err, ummm, yeah I thought I had said about the FEs. Well now he knows lol.

I am completely going with the flow in the way of getting on and off boat. We have two full days after the cruise at LAX where we'll head into Santa Monica and maybe even long beach.. there are parts of our holiday that we are playing by ear. Very hard for me - the over planner! Lol

Thanks for the heads up... I think if I reserve transportation for 1030 (based on DCL's reported disembarkation start time of 0930), we should be good to go.
