Sept. 14, 7 Day Roll Call

Yeah, Kathy. They refer to it as the New South.
We live about an hour from the campus and have had season football tickets for 25 years. Miss Vivian is the biggest fan in the family. We will probably catch some of the Clemson/Georgia Tech game in the ESPN Skybox as we leave port.
Please look for me and give me a hollar as we say down here.

Russ

I'll look for you and your hat.....this same nephew is getting married this December at Disney World.....his fiancee' is a big time Disney fan as we are, and we're all slowly converting him.......He still won't go on a cruise...but we'll work on that too!!!

Kathy

Kathy, I was thinking about your comment yesterday about us Southerners being liberal enough to allow Northerners to come down and get educated and it brought to mind a piece by Lewis Grizzard. He was a columnist for the Atlanta Constitution for years, a great comedian and author. On this subject he said:
"Come on down, breathe our air, eat our food and marry our daughters. There is just one thing we ask in return. Do not tell us how you used to do it up North."
We have not become that liberal yet.

I quote all of this in fun.

By the way, my company's headquarters are in Mayhill, NJ. Ever hear of Sealed Air Corp.

Russ

Russ,
I'm a born & raised "Joisey" girl (Exit 138) and I've never heard of Mayhill, NJ...are you a funnin' with me and that Company name is a wise crack about NJ's air quality????

Kathy

Mayhill is the community but the address is really Saddle Brook. We make packaging and the Sealed Air part of the company makes the bubble wrap everyone likes to pop. My part of the company is Cryovac and we make turkey bags and other food packaging plastics.

I would never make fun of your air quality since I have never been there to compare it to the 110% humidity laden air we have here right now.

Watch this countdown clock tick.

Russ

We got our tickets! Yeah!!!!! I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!!!!!!

Even DH is getting excited now!

There sure are a lot of repeat Disney Cruisers sailing on 9/14/02...

I have an idea....how about at the Castaway Club special cocktail party they have for us repeaters....one of us stand up and announce they are a Disboarder...and that way we all can meet!

I vote for Russ!!!!

Kathy

That sounds like a winner to me Kathy!!! When is the castaway club cocktail reception??:p :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Heidi:jester:

I tell you what I will do. I will make a list of all of the returning Disborders and give it to the Captain at the meet asking him to call our names so we can see who each other are. I tend to embarras Miss Vivian in public sometimes so she would probably prefer me not standing and making a request. I am hard of hearing and talk loud and a little Southern. At least that is what she says. Are all of you returners going to the party?

Congrats on the docs. We are glad you are going to get to go with us.

Russ

I think we will be there...I'm planning on it anyway! But with two kids and allllllllll the things there is to do sometimes I forget what is going on. I don't think any of us know exactly when the reception is though do we? I was just at www.castawayclub.com looking at the navigators and i didn't see where it said anything about the reception...but that's probably because they don't want "party crashers" is what I'm thinking!

We will DEFINATELY try to be there!!

Don't worry Russ...I think my husband and I may be louder than you! my husband and I tend to embarrass each other!

See you all really soon!

The Nokes!!!:bounce:

Sorry Russ...I'm posting before I read EVERYTHING!!! My Fault...so the reception is Monday from 4 - 4:45...and how did you find that out???

Heidi;)

I printed out the Navigators for the Western Cruise and looked it up. I thought I remembered it being listed from last year. Not bad for an old man that can't remember what he had for breakfast.
Not much else scheduled for that time either. The free drinks and Hor'derves wern't bad either. Did I spell that French word right?

Russ

Nope...doesn't look like anything else around that time is scheduled! ( I just went back and checked the navigator for that time and saw it too), Yep you done really good Russ...better than me that's for sure! Sounds like a winner to me!!! FREE is my middle name....I can't spell either so don't worry about it!! We all know EXACTLY what you are talkin about!!! FREE FOOD! :p

All this talk about the trip is just getting me more and more excited!!! I just hope everyone will still be here for my post-trip depression!! I had it BAD the last time we came back!!! GO FIGURE!

Heidi

Free Drinks and goodies (easier to spell) and Monday we are at sea right??? So, we're there!!!!! At our last one I remember the Captain (or another officer) asking how many Disney cruises everyone had been on....

Kathy & Skip

We were on the Cruisetoberfest cruise last September, and the arranged meeting place for the DIS boarders was on the deck above the stage at the sail away party. This way everyone could meet, and not just the repeat cruisers. By the time of the reception, most of the group already knew each other. Just a thought.

I do have a question for everyone that I'm curious about. With the new change in dining times, is anyone switching from early seating to late? We are waitlisted for early seating, but we're hoping with the change that many cruisers will opt for late seating.

Sounds like a good idea to set a place for ALL the Disboarders to meet at sailaway...... You tell us where to be and at what time and we'll be there!!!....and hope all the others will too!

We are scheduled for late seating and glad they moved it a bit earlier. The first seating is a bit too early for us......

Kathy & Skip

We have early seating and I am going to request a change to late when we get on board. 5:30 is too early for us.....so I guess you can have ours!!!
