Sept 11 3 day Wonder? Am I the only one?

HI everyone! My DH and I are cruising on this cruise as well. My whole side of the family is coming with us (my parents and brother/his wife)- the first time we've all vacationed together. We're very excited! It's my DH and I's third Disney cruise. I know my family won't participate in the FE exchange, but DH and I are pretty interested. What were wondering is, any good words of advice for people who live 15 minutes from Disney? We don't want to just give everyone WDW stuff, but when you live so close......

We'll be around WDW starting Sept 6th (that's when my bro/his wife come in to town) and we'll be attending MNSSHP on Sept 9th (as long as our schedules allow us to!!). Current plan is to not dress up, but I will be probably wearing a halloween themed shirt.

First of all, I don't think ANY of us would mind getting Disney stuff in the FE.

I'll be at Wilderness Lodge starting the 6th and plan on attending the MNSSHP too! I have NOT thought of a costume. I figured the kids will be dressed up and that's it. Should I rethink this? lol

We are arriving the 6th and plan on going to Downtown Disney that first night. We are attending MNSSHP on the 9th. We are wearing pirate costumes that way we have pirate costumes for the cruise. Kills two birds with one stone. Not sure If I will end up wearing the costume on pirate night or not though, I kind of want to have pictures in my wedding dress and fireworks.

I am almost completely packed, made all the shirts, magnets, plane activity books, etc. Now what do I do???
FE exchange stuff is done - I made plenty of extras in case we get more participants.
I think I am driving DH crazy with all the planning. I keep telling him it is for the kids but he knows it is all me!!
The only thing he balked at is I scheduled a BBB appointment for DD the night we go to MNSSHP. But I think he is getting used to the idea

Has anyone done a WDW resort photo shoot? I scheduled one at WL and I dont have any idea what to wear. Any ideas would be great.
Question 2:
For those going to MNSSHP in the 9th, did you make dinner ADR's? And where? That is the only night I didnt make ADR's and now I am second guessing myself. I was thinking we would just do CS that night.

I'm happy they decided to join in. Yes, both of my parents are DCL veterans. I used to be a CM at WDW, so they have been there sever times, too...

Well, I just did some more shopping for the FE tonight. My parents and I are going to make goodie bags for each stateroom.

Nope I don't have a photo shoot scheduled because I am just NOW learning about them. We'll be staying at WL though. Will you be there too?

I have an ADR on that Tuesday for Chef Mickey. I booked all of our ADR's as soon as the 180 day mark hit. I didn't want to risk it. So we'll go to Chef Mickey early, then take the monorail over the MNSSHP.

Oh and one question about the FEs - do we stay anonymous or can we put our names on them?

On my last cruise there was a mix of people who did both. I chose to stay anonymous, but there were those that did nice little gift bags who included their contact information, such as email, etc.

Hi Guys-

Been out of town in Miami for my 20 yr high school reunion. Just got the word this afternoon effective 6 am tomorrow we have to evacuate because we're on the water. So, I'll check in again after the storm passes. My cruise docs are still sitting at AAA. Haven't had a chance to pick it up yet. My FE was waiting for me in the mail when I came home. It looks great. I can't wait to use it. I'll catch up on the last couple of pages when I return. Gotta get back to packing for the 3 boys.

lcombs57~~ Plans are going great! Just trying to decide on whether or not I want red flowers, red border or both on the cake! I am leaning towards red flowers. I am super excited. Have we thought of getting together and meeting?

Since I know that some of you will be going to WDW several days prior to the cruise, when do you think the cut off for the FE exchange signup should be? Is September 1 too soon or not soon enough? I know, for instance, that cruisinmama06 will be going to WDW on 9/6, so I was making sure that those folks had enough time to get any last minute gifts. Any input is more than welcome!

We did one! We did ours at Saratoga Springs. I wore a plaid sundress and Andy was in khakis/polo shirt. We both wore flip flops- we're pretty casual people. But we got fantastic pictures!!! I'm not sure where they are at right now....but they're great.

Just saw you're from Phoenix! My DH is from Chandler! He's never lived anywhere else until he moved down here in 05.
