Sept 11 3 day Wonder? Am I the only one?

Hey All,

O.K, this fish extender thing! I think I counted six families beside ourselves that I need to get some goodies for, is this correct. The little guys are easy, but the teens pose to be a little more difficult. I am going to do one bon-voyage bag for all families, is that alright? I have and idea of what little surprises i will put in them. Any ideas for the teens? The ship does have and arcade on it? Three trips and I have never been in the arcade. Do they have tokens, so I could slip them a little cash? If it's alright with their parents??? Let me know? Also any allergies or am I getting a little crazy. That's what working in hospital does to ya.

Alright, after looking back through everything, here is a tentative list. There may possibly be a few extra people, because some that are participating said that friends are joining them, but didn't say whether or not they would be taking part in the FE exchange. I just had a couple of questions for daltwalt. If you see this post:

daltwalt- Is it you and dh? Also, you mention your boys but I'm not sure how many or their ages (some like to do age appropriate gifts )

I reposted the updated FE list in the thread above this one. Hope this helps you! I'm sure anything that you give will be just fine! We didn't discuss allergies, etc, on the last cruise, and I would think that if there was an issue that the person would hopefully make you aware of that, but I guess you never know.

Michelle - thanks! So it's Mickey ears for the room number? I think if I go and attempt to make that, I will drive myself nuts with sizes and schematic drawings. Maybe I better stick to the easy stuff.

Patti - nice to know we'll have a medical professional if we need one. No allergies here.

The last time I cruised (in May) I had booked at Category 12 GTY. It seemed that everyone was getting upgrades left and right that had booked the same thing, so I was hopeful that we would too. Well, we got upgraded all right, to a category 11 sideways room. I wasn't excited at all, but I must say that those rooms could very possibly be the best kept secret on the ship! LOL Not very many of them either. Word has gotten out lately and everyone has been booking them. They seem to be much more spacious than the regular indoor staterooms due to the layout, plus they have a steamer trunk!

LOL....we were hoping for an upgrade to a verandah. We are happy with being upgraded to at least having split bathrroms though!

Awww gotta love AirTrain - my flights have been changed AGAIN - this is the FOURTH time in the past 3 months.

They tried to make my direct flights - connecting flights. So after looking at kayak.com and finding flights that were about 5 times MORE expensive and leaving from another airport, I called AirTran and they gave me those flights with NO fee.

So now we arrive in the morning at WDW and we leave at 6pm after the cruise. I am so glad I get more time in Disney!

Fortunately I'm flying down on Southwest (Airtran doesn't fly out of Birmingham), so hopefully nothing will change since they've always been good about keeping their schedules the same.

I can't believe we leave in less than a month!!

Hey Triscuit - when I googled this movie to see what it was, it comes up as Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Release date isn't until the end of September....would they release it early on the ship?

I wouldn't be asking but my kids have an obsession with dogs, especially chihuahas...they would go CRAZY to see this movie on the ship.

Just received our docs from the UPS guy We are in room 6135 no upgrade, but that is alright, because we are still on the boat!!!
Went FE shopping today at Michaels, they had all kinds of goodies. I have some fantastic ideas, but I just need to put them into motion.

Here we go again!!! My son starts school monday, and he will have hurricane days already. They make them up at the end of the school year and most of the time they are non-productive. My husband will be home, if need be battening down the hatches. I have to report to the hospital and stay there until the storm has passed in case of a disaster. This really stinks. I just hope Fay goes away!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't check in for a while. I've been busy with work, interviewing for a promotion (I am a finalist, but haven't heard anything yet), and closing on my first DVC purchase!!! Yahoo! My parents have decided to join me on this 3-day adventure! (FYI-they will be participating in the exchange). Had to believe we're less than 4 weeks away from cruising! We were upgraded to a cat 11-room number 7039!
