Sept. 11, 2011 It's never too early to Dream

Glad you made it home okay! Sounds like you had quite the adventure getting there. :goodvibes

Tim and I finally made it home on Sunday evening 2 hours later than we were supposed to and minus one piece of checked luggage, but at least we made it home :).
I don't know why our connecting flight was scheduled so close to the first one on the way home, as there is NO way Anyone can make it from the arrival gate of one to the departure gate of the other on time when you have to collect your luggage, go through customs, then check in again then security again.
We were put on standby and got on a 7pm? flight. My missing luggage was delivered to my house yesterday, less than 24 hours after that flight.
We had a great time on this cruise, absolutely Awesome! Thank you VERY much to all who gave us FE gifts, they were truly amazing to receive :thumbsup2
I am now trying to adjust to our regular day to day routine, Tim went back to school today with his new Cruise Pencil box we got him on board. He was Thrilled to put that in his Back Pack. I noticed yesterday that my 14yr old had come home for lunch ( I was out at the time and he had gone back to school by the time I did get home). This morning, I was making Tim's lunch for school, and so I asked my 14 yr old if he'd like me to make him one too. I wondered if he wanted to come home or stay at school and was expecting a NO from him about making him a lunch. Instead he said YES. Turns out, he came home for lunch ALL last week because No Body made him a lunch in the morning (Only mom does that I guess). :rotfl: Crazy kid. So since I made him one today, he better have eaten it ;)

Judy, glad to hear you made it home ok - with a slight curve in the route home. Time for Donna and I to go back to work tomorrow. When we got home Sunday around noonish - we both were talking and wondering about how much weight we probably put on during the cruise. Well, we both weighed ourselves Monday morning. Donna first - she weighs in at 4 pounds over then when we left for the cruise. I hesitated - finally got on the scale 15 minutes later - I too weighed in 4pounds heavier. Well - I am blind as a bat without my glasses on - especially early in the morning. Cause - later I weighed myself with DW present and I only gained 1 yes you read that right 1 pound on the cruise. So ya'll know what theat means - I am not the most popular guy in the household. Heck, even our male kitty now has a notch up on me!!!!:lmao::cool1::rotfl2::rotfl:

We didn't weigh ourselves but DH and I did catch a cold after we got back! Our nose's are running like faucets. I think I am alergic to Ohio, just my opinion.

LOL, then maybe you won't like to hear THIS, I weighed myself yesterday on the same scale I weighed myself on just prior to leaving for our Cruise Vacation. I Weigh in at 3 Pounds LESS, than I did pre cruise!!! Don't know that I ate more but I certainly was doing more walking, up and about :thumbsup2

I got a cold on the cruise, thankfully nothing that affected my sinuses, or caused me to feel ill, just an annoying persistant cough and laryngitis (sp?) which was helped by Sheri's suggestion to drink COKE, and it actually really did help :) Everyone back home here though had nasty colds and ear infections while I was gone, go figure.

DAVID, did you notify Guest Services about you FE? If they find it on the ship, they will ship it to you. I can't imagine why someone would take that from you, truly sad that someone would do that. My hope is that it does turn up for you :thumbsup2

We got home Thursday evening and Friday morning I woke up with a sore throat and a stuffy head. Thankfully the sore throat went away, but I've been stuffed up ever since!

Hope y'all feel better soon!

Ok - there always has to be that "Someone" who loses weight on a cruise!!! I don't know how to do it - wish I knew!!! But anyway - good for you Judy!!! What's your secret? After I learn what it is - I'll go on a bunch of cruises and be back down to my weight when I was that young and handsome stud back in school!!!

Yes I did let Guest Services know that our FE was stolen. They said they were sorry that this had happened. But yes they would send it to us if someone turned it in to Lost & Found. Time will tell, huh?:confused3

I haven't had a chance to down load the videos I took yet. I did download the pictures we took. Most came out GREAT. The ones that are blurry are - come on all of you say it with me - they are MINE!!! (According to DW anyways!!!) Sheri, if that is what it takes to just gain 1 pound on a 7 day cruise - you will see my fat you know what walking that ship from stem to stern!!! Oh hey Sheri - DW and I bought one of those fancy cameras similar to the one you and Judy have when we got home on Monday. Maybe I won't mess up any more pictures!!! I have to learn how to turn the thing on then I'll be on my way to professional photos!!! Sheri, do you still want a copy of the video I took while Donna and I rode the AquaDuck? How do I get a copy of it to you?
:confused3 Let me know if you still would like to have a copy.

David I would love a copy. Let me figure out a way to get it and I'll let you know. I have some pictures to share with you as well.

Thank you Sheri, we look to forward receiving them. Hey I have a question for you about this new camera we are getting. It comes with one standard lens. What other lenesss'sss (sp?) would you suggest we get for the camera. As you can see, not a pro here. (And, that is not like that statement I made to Edith about the tricks - either!!!):lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think that one blew over Edith's head (I hope so) :rotfl: David, beyond the regular lens, I purchased a telescopic lens which comes in handy for shots you want to get close up but you are physically far away Like this set of photos (I didn't want to get too close as I knew I'd scare the littel thing away) These were taken at Castaway Cay, I was a good 10 to 12 feet away:

Judy, those are some GREAT shots you have there.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I can see he is still keeping an eye on you even though you are 10 to 12 feet away.:rotfl2: OK - looks like a telescopic lens has to be added to the cart. I took some pictures with our camera.........you saw that little camera we were using................and I zoomed in with it. Almost all of them came out on the blurry side. Now I know what you are going to say here............must have been operator error....................(that's what Donna says anyways)..........but I think it is because when you zoom in with that little camera if you don't hold it perfectly still it goes all blurry on you!!! (Or it could be just me!!!):confused3 Thanks for your help Judy.

Nice critter pictures!!

Thanks to everyone for helping make the pre-planning for this cruise so great. We had a WONDERFUL time and can't wait to do it again! (really ... we already rebooked :lmao: )

Our two favorites from the cruise were Remy on the night we were in Nassau, and the Rainforest pass. I wouldn't do Remy every cruise because it was such a special experience, but you can bet we'll get the Rainforest pass again!

We were blessed to have chosen the Nassau night for Remy; since the ship was in port so late, we saw the sparkling lights of the town below us while we dined. I'm pretty sure we were the highest point at the island. (Maybe the Water Tower is higher? I don't know, but the city lights made the evening even more special).

One of the Remy waiters suggested we go off the ship to take photos, since they are so rarely in port at night. I'm glad we did! Please enjoy ...

I hope your cold didn't last long!

I had vertigo very bad the day we got off the ship. On water, nothing. One we got to WDW, I was quite dizzy, a little nauseous, and having trouble dragging myself through Magic Kingdom. I fell asleep on Haunted Mansion! What's up with that?? I was mostly recovered by Friday. Strange strange.

To threeiscrazy - if you have a Google account, you should be able to upload any videos to a Picasa album (and if not, accounts are free) for sharing. There's a 1GB limit on uploaded videos. http://picasaweb.google.com

Hi all! What a great trip! Wonderful wedding and cruise! Isn't the Dream amazing? Just gorgeous!

Wish we could have met more of you but it was nice to meet the few that we did meet.

Love the critter pics and the nighttime pictures of the Dream. Too bad we didn't think to get off and take pictures at night.

GetGlowing, I was also fine on the cruise but was very lightheaded, sleepy and downright miserable for several days after. This has happened to me before. A very annoying way to end a wonderful vacation.

Hope everyone is doing well and brought home great memories!

Hi everyone! We had a great time on the cruise with everyone. I wish I could have met more of you. The cruise was too short though. So needless to say we will be booking a 7 day in 2013! Hope everyone had a great time!

Here's a link to our wedding photos. I'm enjoying looking at everyone elses pics.

Shannon, it was nice meeting you and that goofydad you married!!!:lmao::lmao:Those are some GREAT pictures you have of your wedding. Moments you both will remember for the rest of your lives. We booked another cruise for the Fantasy in December 2012. Donna and I have wanted to see the ship all decorated for Christmas for several years now.

I think my DH and I spotted you and your DH a couple times around the ship--once at Palo Brunch I'm pretty sure!

Very nice pictures Shannon! Was glad I was able to meet you and your new husband at the staircase! Best wishes for a happy life together!
