Everything on their website and via email is quoted in US Dollars. We have used US Dollars in previous trips to the BVI with no problems. The 40 minimum is to get the group rate and private excursion just for us here on DIS... and I am emailing them an update each month to keep in touch and let them know of our counts. We are currently at 15 confirmed plus 4 maybes (and one child under 3) - which puts us right at halfway there. With us being the only ship in port that day (and only one other ship in port the entire month of September) I seriously doubt they would cancel the excursion on us. The worst I think would be for us to pay the website rate, which is only $5 more than the group rate we are getting. For the same excursion with Disney, they won't even allow under age 3 to go, and I know we snorkeled and sailed several times with our older daughter before she tu

Thanks for the info..we are letting others know who haventt joined the boards yet about it

We should be late seating as well. Son in Flounders...time to play with the adults!

What cool experiences. In 2007 on the WBTA we sat next to Don and George. Don drew a Tigger for me and I was so excited I asked if I could repay the gracious gift. He knew I was in law enforcement and told me George was somewhat of a closet fan and collect law enforcement memoriabilia. I promised to send him several items and got an address.

A few days later I had a package at customer service. It was a drawing Don did for me of Mickey in a class A (Formal) police uniform autographed to me. WOW! He shouldn't have, he didn't need to and yet he is just that kind! To this day the drawing is framed in my office and generates conversation almost every week. I sent the items as promised to George and received a very nice thank you card. He is a class act.

These are types of experiences that simply cannot be replicated. If you have a chance have him do a drawing for you. You will never forget it!

Great!! Thank you! It really is a GORGEOUS area. I don't even listen to country music, and had to watch that Kenny Chesney YouTube video a few times. Just totally put me back into "island mode". We were able to go to Foxy's back when he was singing - such a cool little place.

That's a reason we chose late seating - hope DD2 will fall asleep there and not miss much. :) How old will your son be on the cruise again? We turn 9 months tomorrow.... so we will be 15 months on the cruise. Time is flying...

Michelle.....my pictures didn't come out....it said that they had been deleted by Photobucket. What happened? Could you try again or do you know why it would say it was deleted?

Andrew and I are on late dining as well! Does anyone else have a kiddo around his age that is on late dining? If not, he interacts very well with adults (only child syndrome). We haven't even begun to examine excursions yet. And I'm working on a huge project right now so I likely won't be on the boards for a week or so.

See you all next week.

Karen

Hello Everyone,

DH and myself will also be on the WBTA. This will be our 4th Disney cruise, but the first without our kids, much to their disgust!! I've enjoyed reading all of your posts, picking up lots of useful information from those of you have done the Transatlantic crossing before, and I'm looking forward to meeting you all in September.:goodvibes

DH and I would love to do this excursion. Could you please add the 2 of us to your list of participants? Thanks. :thumbsup2

Hi all....
My DS, DBIL & I are hoping to join you all on this fabulous cruise. We should know in a day or two if we get the cabin we want and can still get the flts that i priced out over the wkend. DS & I just did the Eastern Caribbean in Oct - her 1st - my 4th and now she's hooked !!!! My DH will not sail, but DS really wants to take her hubby, and he has no problem traveling with me (of course his favorite SIL) :rotfl:
Will keep you updated and in the meantime, have lots of pages to go back & read

New count:
17 confirmed plus 4 maybes = 21
1 under age 3 (for capacity purposes - we can't go over 50 total)

WOW this is just amazing. Last cruise we missed out on this because they sold out of slots so quickly. Hopefully we will be able to get a session with Ducky this time.

Meeting Don was an amazing experience for us and obviously for you too, it certainly did make the WBTA last year special for us

Hi there Welcome :)

There were 10 of us at the table last year. I was talking to a lady, on the last day of the cruise last year who was travelling solo. Disney sat her with a fellow solo traveller, a man, and she didn't like him. She ended up eating in Topsiders every evening - nightmare

I'm also on late dining.

Oh no that is awful. It is strange that they just paired them up, you'd think that they would have added them to a larger table. :confused3

Wow that is so lovely! What a great drawing to have in your office. :thumbsup2

Welcome aboard to you both! :cool1: I am sure Karen will add you to the list on the first page. If you haven't had a look already, there is lots of information on there and things you can join in and have some fun. :thumbsup2

Fingers crossed for you that you are able to book. :wizard:

Wow that is amazing! How lucky that he did both for you! Any chance you could show us a photo of the picture he drew for you?

I hope he is onboard on this years WBTA, did you know he was going to be onboard in advance? Would you mind sharing more info, how you booked it, how much and how long the time slots are etc?

Don was onboard the Dream Maiden Voyage and we were all given a lovely lithograph in our rooms one night, the next day we got it signed by him. I have just ordered a frame for it and am going to put it on the wall in my office/craft room. :)

WOW this is just amazing. Last cruise we missed out on this because they sold out of slots so quickly. Hopefully we will be able to get a session with Ducky this time.

I think LindaBabe already replied regarding the cost and time slots for Ducky, but I think it was common knowledge before the cruise that Ducky would be on board, so luckily DH was smart enough to ask in Treasure Ketch on the first night about it and they brought out a clip board with time slots. It filled up really quickly. I can't remember it being advertised anywhere to do that.

Again DH took our WBTA lithograph designed by Ducky to the session and Ducky autographed that for us too.

I will try to upload a pic of my drawing later to show you.

So if Ducky is on this cruise, we all need to dash up to Treasure Ketch asap to book a slot.

That's fab, I would love to see it! :) We will be having a mini DIS meet in Treasure Ketch! :rotfl2:

I do think that was just terrible of DCL. For goodness sake.

What sizes of tables are there? Tables of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10?

I do think there is 1 table for 14 in the middle of the dining rooms.
