Many thanks.

One small thing do we get to keep what we catch or do we have to put them back:laughing::laughing::laughing:

I'm hoping this will alleviate my 4-year-old asking to go to Sea World every other day!! Now she HAS something to look forward to! :)

Well, here is the response from our travel agent re: the Expedia deal and their agency's lack of OBC offers:

"Hi, Chris!

Well, as of right now (agency name) is not offering any additional OBC, but my guess is that it’s very possible we’ll see something like that later on this spring. Should that offer become available I would certainly make sure that it was applied to your reservation so you got the additional credit. In any event I’ll make sure that you’re happy with the deal you have – the last thing I want is for you to feel like you could have gotten better value elsewhere."

Of course, after this she'll want a dolphin to keep in the bathtub. (I know I always did when I was a kid!) :rotfl:

Yep, I think I'd have a hard time jumping ship (so to speak) on that, too.

Goofy Adpi...not sure if you ever stayed in 5522 and heard the swishing and flushing of water underneath the floor of this room. We stayed in 5522 and it was noisey, with a slushing sound of water under the floor and then, it sounded as if it were being flushed away, then filling again and flushing. There also is aa crew door directly across from the door of 5522 and, it would slam shut day and night. I asked our room steward about the water sound and she thought it might be some type of a holding tank?? If you can snag a verandah room for slightly more, I would definitely recommend it. Just wanted to pass this bit of information along so you know what to expect. :confused3

Thank you so much for the room review and the advice!!! Actually, this will be my very first Disney Cruise :cool1:, so I have no experience with this room or any others. Swishing and flushing water does not sound like a good way to spend two weeks.
I guess this is a silly question, but are there "bad" verrandah rooms?

"Hi, I'm Pat, and I'm a Disney freak. And so is my DH, Dennis."

Here's the proof. We couldn't have an actual Disney wedding - too expensive for our tastes, and Dennis wanted to get married in a little church in Orlando that he loves. It was just my family and a couple of friends, and we did add some Disney touches. Dennis (who insisted on wearing a tux - love this guy!) had a bow tie and cummerbund with Mickeys on them and I had Mickey head earrings and a necklace with little Mickey heads. We all went to dinner at 1900 Park Fare - yes, a character meal for our reception - and we had a special-order cake with a few of our own touches.

This was our cake. The piping on the side matched the embellishment on my dress. Look closely at who "taste-tested" it. That was a nod to our dogs.

And this is us. (That's my dad in the background going, "Cut the cake, already!") You can sort of see Dennis's tie and cummerbund. Oh, and I made my dress, hat, and purse.

See, what did I tell you? Disney Freaks.

Love the dress - and especially that HAT! You did a fabulous job with them!

Are there good deals at the Swarovski store in Gibraltar? We found some great deals on Disney pieces when in Paris - much cheaper than at home in the US!

Golly! You want my collection, bought in Germany in the 80's & 80's? After 30 years, I'm tired of dusting the darn things!

Well we have made an unheard of and earth-shattering decision this morning. We have decided not to stay in WDW after the cruise for the 2 days before we fly home. Instead, we are going to hire a car, and drive up the coast to St Augustine, a place I have always wanted to visit. We have booked this hotel which looks amazing.

http://www.westcotthouse.com/index.html

We will be in WDW in July anyways, and because we were only planning on going to MNSSHP, and apparently we will miss the dates for that anyway, we decided to broaden our horizons. Has anyone ever been to St Augustine? Any recommendations or "must sees". Thanks.

I lived in St. Augustine for years as I was a police officer there. We will have to have a drink on the cruise and give you some recommendations. St. Augustine is awesome but if you get away from the tourism, you may decide you want to live there forever. My wife and I talk about our experiences there almost daily. If you want to PM me please do. Give me an idea of if you are just the two adults, with kids, etc. Either way we can definately point you to some hidden jems. And if you enjoy the ghost tour type of thing...then do I have some stories for you. Midnight shift on St. George Street for years left me with several "haunting" memories. LOL

Can I just add in that my two mad little yorkshire terriers are called Tod and Copper after my favourite disney film Fox and The Hound..... hence the disname :rotfl:

Oh you have no idea lol.... can't wait to meet you all too :cool1:

One of our pups is a yorkshire too...

I think we definitely need to find a time to share pet pics! Plus it's another excuse -- I mean, opportunity, for libations! :drinking1 (Because we just don't have enough of those!)[/QUOTE]

What a great idea for libations...Better start putting money away now for the bar bill:rotfl:

I love all the Disney touches...how cool
We did get married at Disney at the little area by the ESPN Zone at the boardwalk...we wanted it cheap as well so we only invited the parents and then came home for the receptions.

That is so amazing, I am in awe! I love the Disney touches, too. What fun to have a Character reception!!

I only sew when I have to, and I have to make my fish extender and I'm so nervous.

My mom and I were just talking on the phone about FE gifts and I was giving her some ideas and she said to me, "oh, so it's mostly for kids?" I told her that us big kids love Disney, too.

We will definitely definitely have to meet up with you on the cruise to hear your stories and find out all about St Augustine. I have been wandering aroung there on Google Maps Streetview and it all looks stunning. I am really looking forward to seeing "real" Florida even though I imagine that it has been quite tourist - fied ( is that a word? ) We definitely want to visit the fort and do a ghost tour, and we would love to find some hidden gems. I think I will be having to get a few extra memory cards just for St Augustine as it looks amazingly photogenic. I am so excited about going there. :yay::yay:

I am a true Yorkshire Girl, so have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers. We stayed in a villa in Orlando in February and the man next door had a Yorkie. She ran over for a bit of a fuss when we were getting out of the car one day. When he came over to get her I told him I was from Yorkshire, but I don't think he knew there was such a place!!:lmao:

hi everyone!
sorry i've been awol, but only just got back from holiday last night and trying to catch up on emails and PMs and stuff.

to all the people who PM'd me when i was away, apologies for not replying, but i have gone through all the messages and added people to the relevant lists, and added requested links to the relevant info.
i'm going to go through the 40 odd pages on here i've missed over the next few days, so the list of cruisers and secret mickey info will be updated soon i promise!

Welcome back Karen, hope you had a lovely time.

yeah had an amazing time, sooooo HOT, loads of very good food and lots of sightseeing. just bumped back down to earth with a bang, been eating really good cheap chinese food for the past two weeks, so what did i end up with for lunch today? tinned spaghetti bolognaise on toast. my stomach is trying to figure out what the hell is going on!

When we come home from our US trips, particularly if they include a cruise, all we want are beans on toast. Or a meal with lots and lots of vegetables!!!

I don't remember the last time I had beans on toast. Might have to have some today :)

So where is everyone's favourite place to eat onboard? I loved sitting in Lumiere's, but also really enjoyed sitting outside Topsiders for breakfast in the morning.

Welcome home Karen....sounds like you've had a good time.

Jools...I don't think I have a favourite as there are nice things about all the places to eat. Also we've not been on the Magic before only the Wonder.
