Noel, I would like 2 pins & 2 lanyards please. (Put me down to chip in $10 to the lanyard group :thumbsup2) My lanyard colour preferences are Pink, Orange, Purple or Black & I would prefer the thicker type.

Noel I think i'm on the Madiera tour list but just to confirm now that myself & DH would like to be added.

I want to join the FE & Secret Mickey exchanges so i'll send the relevant PM's shortly. Karen with the Secret Mickey exchange do we need to give ideas of the things we like such as favourite characters, pin collector etc so the person buying can choose something suitable?

I need to think about the Candyswap as I need to consider my luggage allowance, will definately join if I am going to ship some stuff to the port.

Shall I still PM all the people on the list to advise them of our new thread or has someone already done this?

Think i'm all caught up now! :faint:

I will put you down on all the relevant lists. Thanks for offering to join the lanyard payment group.

Wow....things are moving fast aren't they?

I am no good at organizing anything, but would love to go to Sunshine Beach to see those planes fly over head. Share a cab or something?

Claire I hear where you're coming from re the luggage allowance.

Yes Michelle, sharing a cab sounds a great idea. :thumbsup2

The luggage allowance really is crazy! I am going to have to work it out.....my flight to Barcelona has a combined luggage allowance of 40kg! :scared1: Whereas my return flight from Miami has a combined allowance of 192kg :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: At least I can do lots of shopping on the ship & in the ports. ;)

Hi everyone! Looks like you all had a busy day yesterday! :lmao:

I wasn't well yesterday & wasn't online much so I missed the start of the thread & looks like i've missed out taking on some of the organsing for the FE's, Secret Mickeys etc that I said i'd like to help with.

I guess I need to catch up on the 8 pages quickly & see what else I missed.

Sorry you weren't well yesterday Claire. I wondered where you were!!!! Shame you missed out organising something you wanted to. Perhaps someone might decide they don't want to do one of them, but otherwise I am sure there will be something else we all want to do that you can head up.

Remember you can buy lots of things like toiletries in Gibraltar as there is a Morrisons, M&S and I think a Boots. I think the M&S was small, but there might be a chance of getting some tees and shorts there too. That would save a lot of weight. You would just need some small items to tide you over. I picked some things up in Barcelona that I had forgotten too. There was a Body Shop there.

Great Claire.

I know...I think we have 43kg on the flight over to BCN. Only 46kg on the journey home from MCO, so not much shopping for us. Not that we need anything :rotfl: I usually buy my bedding when I am over there as the superking bedding is a lot easier to get hold of. I don't know what I will do next year.

Forgot to say we would be interested in the Secret Mickey and Candy Swap :)

PM'ing those that need to be:thumbsup2

Would it be possible to sign up for these activities and adjust the info as we get closer to the cruise?

yeah thats no problem at all, if you could PM the relevant people (info is on the first page), if your circumstances change or you need to add/take off people, just let us know :)

By the way -- a friend is boarding the Magic this weekend, and I sent her a message to take good pics of the Magic and Wonder at CC together!

that is going to be one amazing photo op!

Wish they had Bridge Web Cams like the Princess line or even a web cam on the Post Office I would hook in daily just to get my Castaway Cay fix.

Burnice

that would be awesome! shame we only really get to see the ships when docked in port canaveral

added you to the list :) could you PM me with what kind of things you like?

we're definately moving along now, was on page 7 when i went to bed last night, and 12 hours later, we're 2 pages later!

Karen, what do you think about putting this link up on Page 1. It is about how to go by train from London/Paris to Barcelona.

http://www.seat61.com/Spain.htm#Barcelona

When we were looking, at the height of the ash cloud fiasco, I seem to remember you couldn't book till about 4 months out or something like that. I did email about baggage, and if you go in the top range, private compartment, you can take 2 bags!!!

good thinking, i know it might put a lot of people's mind at ease if something similar happens again.
i've added it to the useful info bit on the first post.

John quite fancied travelling that way anyway, for the experience. It might be something others would consider. I think a biggish group travelled this way from Paris in 2007 on the first WBTA.

it does look a good way to travel and not too expensive, but the price doubles if you dont want to have to share a cabin with strangers. :(

Yes, you don't want to be looking at it as a budget way of travelling for sure!!!

at least its a good alternative if the whole volcano thing kicks off again!

How about some links for hotels in Barcelona?

I know it can be quite daunting trying to find a hotel in a city you've never stayed in before.
I have never stayed in Barcelona before and have no idea of how far the port is from anywhere.
Recommendations from previous WBTA might be a good idea:)

i've added links on the first page to threads here on the dis for hotels in barcelona.
i've also added a link to a really useful site showing where the port is, how to get there, public transport etc...

I'm feeling much better today thanks. I had a really bad headache & spent most of the day in bed or a darkened room, thankfully it had gone when I woke up this morning.

Thanks Maz. I didn't realise that Gibraltar had all those shops so that is a fab idea. :thumbsup2

I've never thought about buying bedding in Florida, where do you get yours from? I agree SuperKing is so expensive over here!
