Safe travels to everyone setting off in the next few days, gotta say I'm a tiny bit jealous but only because I'm still stuck at work til Friday instead of lounging in the Spanish sun!
It's going to get real quiet on here the next few days so I think us people who aren't leaving til Saturday need to stick together and keep each other sane. Otherwise I'll just end up talking to myself on here. Hazel, annemarie, dan - are you up to the challenge of keeping me sane til Saturday?!

Karen.....I'm with you til Thursday! Gonna be awfully quiet....probably be an echo heard when someone posts a message!

Sanity? I didn't think any of us were sane. Why should we start now? Halfway through one of my last two days of work. It has been nice because there have only been three of us here and one just left. It is allowing me to get things accomplished....well accept for when I am on here checking to see what is going on.

Every time I think I can get some traction on work I wander here instead. It really has been much quieter already!

I don't think it matters which Terminal you arrive at, it all dumps out at the one international luggage area. We arrived at Terminal 1 last time and once you get your luggage and go through customs and pass by the automatic doors into the place where people wait for arriving passengers there are a few ATMs and signs for parking, bus, and coffee places. Make sense? Easy to spot if you just follow the crowd out of the luggage area, there really is only one exit.

All of you from outside the US - please send plenty of to those of us here in the states.

Many of us will be dealing with one or more tropical storms/hurricanes this week as we try to make our way to Barcelona.

One hit the gulf coast today but it seems to be having little effect on air travel - just a lot of rain.

A bigger one is approaching the east coast now but it is expected to turn back out to sea - however when and where is up in the air currently, so some of the winds could effect travel later this week when we're all trying to get out.

Well I am on my first flight from Texas to JFK. Hoping for a good birthday present today... "A seat on the BCN flight tonight!" we are standby but it looks pretty good right now... need pixie dust!

Attention All Madeira Daniel Taxi Tour Members

I am awaiting confirmation on our East tour if we have a 20 passenger bus or if we have to split the group.

On the West tour, I have assigned all tour members to a group and am going to sending out emails to ask for leaders of each group. If you are in any of the groups 2-5 and want to volunteer, please send me a PM.

Restaurant has changed only for the East group to the Restaurante A Chave as Estubia felt it would be a quieter and less touristy place. Here is the new menu.

Here are the West Groups. John did the signs last year but if the leaders of the group don't want the character, we can change.

I made the room correction. The responsibility would be to hold up the sign that John has made and when everyone is there. be sure they get to the correct bus. The driver will be looking for your Group by number.

Noel - I can be responsible for bringing Benedryl (tablets - I have LOTS) and also a few extra allergy meds (I have some Zyrtec generic and also some Allegra D extras) for those who may need them. Sometimes a different climate/flora/etc. can really set off allergies you didn't know you had!!
