*Sept 10th 2011 WB Transatlantic* - From Spain to Space Mountain - Part 6

Hey Noel, just sent the cabins list to you. I tried to send a follow up last night, when I realized I forgot the attachment, the second I hit "send." But that note appears to be trapped in my Outbox, even though it showed up in the Sent mail. Outlook just mocks me these days.

Got your email as well. Outlook is the reason I created email accounts on Yahoo and Google!!

Hi everyone,

I know many of you are waiting (I'm sorry for that) to hear your Stateroom assignments, but that's OK....you can still offer to be part of the Stateroom Tour!

If you have you ever thought about trading that verandah for an inside to save a bit of money for that back-to-back cruise you want to do? Or maybe you have a special celebration coming up and you want to see if the suite of your dreams lives up to your wife's expectations (hint, hint). Well, have we got the opportunity for you!

I am in the process of organizing a state room tour...but I need your help! So far, our wonderful cruise mates have volunteered to show off their rooms in categories, 3, 5A, 7A, 9A, 9D, 11A (accessible) and 11A (sideways). We need more volunteers to show off their rooms.

My thought is that we would do this early in the cruise on a sea day in the late morning to accomodate those who have little ones (or others) who like to nap in the afternoon.

DATE: How about Friday, September 16? Would 10:30 to 11:30 work?

Remember, the tour is only as good as we make it!

Thanks,

Keri

Keri (aka, another Karen)

Keri -

We are down for that day. Just let me know when it is finalised. :)

Dan

...They are all nice, but I liked this one the most.
Perhaps you should add your cabinnumber on it. It is easier to get it back to you at the end of the cruise.

Ha ha - you are so funny! :goodvibes Seriously, GTY status with no assignment yet, so I figured the room number would get hand written.

ok these are all so cool! Because of being in the hospital and being sick I missed out on this idea before I left home! Is there anyone out there who will take pitty on me and make me one? I will gladly pay you for doing it. I am in Germany now and have no access to a printer, much less know where or how to find magnetic paper!

Krisann

I'll do one and let you decide if you like it.

lynne - great magnet ideas! which one are you going to go with? i'm keeping a list of the ones that people are printing and taking so we can try and spot them all. let me know which one you're using and i'll add it to that list...

...and I forgot to say that if anyone wants to use it, they can - I was just playing around with ideas. Not sure I am going to do one myself. But if you see one of these designs floating around, you'll know it's from a DISer.

...Is there a place that just has a listing of what is happening each day? I need to put it into my calendar on Outlook so it will download to my google calendar and ipad so I do not forget anything this cruise!
...Are you all having hot weather like germany?

Krisann

Check page 1 - if not on Thread 6, go back to Thread 5 - it had a calendar of our events

I love the one of the princesses! I've been trying to do a traveling magnet for the past couple of days and I don't know what I'm doing wrong but they don't turn out! Gr-r-r-r-r-r! You've done a great job with all of them! :thumbsup2

Use the princess one; if you want something about it changed, just tell me and I'll redo it. I made them in MS Word and saved it as a PDF to iPhoto; I am hoping they will enlarge back to 8.5 x 11 without blurring.

Those are so cute, I wish I was more creative to do something like this.

Want me to try something for you?

Did anyone else around here (NC and VA) feel that? So weird, I have never felt an earthquake before, not even in all my visits to California!

I did not feel it because I was on the road coming back to work from lunch...but heard on the radio about earthquake and when I got to work, everyone was asking me if I felt it. They did. That is SO-O-O-O unusual for around here! Wow!

Wow, what a wonderful adventure! Thanks for letting us see your great pictures! I associate Snickers with Germany as it seems when we visited different places there we always bought packs of them at grocery stores!

That is funny you say that - we went to a little store today to buy bread, butter and such, and they had snickers bars - the kids wanted one and I said NOOOOOO - we get those in the states - get the good german/european stuff! Chocolate just tastes better here - even the same kind!

Hmm, do I want to take this on? :confused3

I did this sorta for the EBTA this year - but what I did was create a public google doc and let everyone put their own flight information and hotel information in. Then it was easier

You are such a good wife! Hope he appreciates the time you spend cooking & freezing his meals that you could be spending day-dreaming about the cruise!:laughing:
I'm doing the same thing for my daughter...I've basically been packing and freezing all leftovers for the past 2 weeks, so she can have some easy meals available. She always appreciates my doing it.
Look forward to seeing you on the cruise. :)

Hey Debra...it looks like it is coming your way, too! Y'all be careful! I hope it just decides to fizzle out before affecting anyone - but it usually doesn't work out that way. :headache:

Maybe this will be the last hurricane of the season <fingers
crossed>. :thumbsup2

I hope it fizzles out too! We need the rain buy don't want a hurricane!

Did you feel the earthquake? I didn't because I was on the road coming back from lunch.....but we've been getting calls like crazy from people wanting to know what all those tremors were from.

Here's some extra help pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: to ward off any hurricanes for the next couple of weeks so our cruise will be just perfect!

Lynne, I sent you a PM about the traveling door magnet! Thanks!!! :worship:

There are quite a few of us there at the Barcelona Renaissance Marriott. I wish someone would do what Kimberly did last year on the 2010 WBTA thread. Check the link:

Hotel & Flight Info

Most of this info has already been collected by Lauren (Namsupak) - see page 1, post #11....so it maybe just needs our flight details adding.

I hope all is well with our friends up and down the East Coast US.

We felt it here in New Jersey. I thought someone was messing with me and shaking my chair until my cubemate came over and asked if I felt it. It was a little scary. I can only imagine what Japan went through if that scared me. I felt a small one in California when I was a kid.

I hope everyone stays safe on the East Coast. :wizard:

Oooooh I just noticed my ship is disappearing off my ticker! :dance3:

And it's wrong - should be 15 days not 16! :cool1: :yay:

That works for us, I just hope Princess Tea is not the same time. Same day would be OK.

I wonder how much draft beer is. I assumed botles were in the $3.50 range, not over $4.

And wow, sparkling wine is steep!

Actually, I was thinking DCL appears, based on this menu to be in the middle of the road for drink prices on cruise ships. NCL was much more expensive and HAL has a bit more variety. In St. Louis are mixed drinks cheap? ;) I know in northern VA--where we live when we are not in Skopje--$5.75 for a rum and coke or even a regular margarita is a steal! :goodvibes

Does anyone know if DCL does drink specials? Like drinks of the day and such?
