We have nothing booked either .. although I am going to a concert in October which I am really looking forward to. I also have to arrange something for Tony's 50th birthday surprise ... but that will be a last minute trip in October. Next year we have absolutely nothing planned as we are planning an extension on the house which will take all our time and money ... so I imagine the post holiday blues will hit hard in November, coupled with my usual SAD we are in for a grumpy old winter

That will be nice for Tony. I have a few shows booked to look forward to but that's not quite the same is it.

i had this trouble with the first few pages of my glossy magnetic paper, it wouldnt feed through properly.
try changing your settings. when you hit print, in the box that pops up asking printing preferences, one of them should ask about what type of paper you're using. one of my options was "super heavy gloss" or something similar. even if you're using matt, try using this setting as all it does is feed through slower and compensates for the heavier paper. clicked on that and it worked like a dream

DISCLAIMER: The following story is a riveting tale about me and my printer - if you have high blood pressure, you may not want to read it because it is so thrilling.

I had a little trouble w/ it last night but took a flashlight to the printer and looked inside so I could figure out exactly what the problem was. The magnet paper by Avery (from Walmart) is matte and really thin, so that wasn't the issue - it was that the printer rollers caught the paper and then it wouldn't go up into the printer where it needed to.

So, I took the paper and rolled it up so it would have a natural curl to go up into the printer and it worked. I was very happy that it worked finally! Anyway, I have a few more magnets to print now but at least I know that they will print.

Keens are a type of walking sandal. I've never had any but they have a good reputation on the disboards as great park shoes. Joe was looking for a comfortable non-flip-flop sandal and I think he found it - he has been wearing them ever since we left the store yesterday.

I had a quick google, they look comfy. I'm sure i've seen them whilst shopping in Orlando now, just didn't recognise the name.

I think the plan is to meet up at about 6pm ... it will be very flexible as to how long people stay, but that gives people the chance to do something else later in the evening. We are eating in the Hard Rock, and then will probably jsut wander the gothic quarter after that.

I think we will be hitting El Corte Ingles afterwards for "supplies" - they are open until 10pm!

Good Morning, happy Cruisers!

If the magnets I want are full sheet, I print on regular heavy paper and slide the result into a page protector with the magnet sheet behind. presto, interchangable.

If they're small designs, I still print them on heavy paper, cut out the designs and adhere them to the magnet sheet in the most 'papersaving' manner. Then cut them out again. For me, saving expensive magnet sheets is key.

Also, the magnetic backs on giveaway calendars, advertising fridge magnets and the like can be used for smaller things - the entire back doesn't need to be covered with magnet to hold the item up.

You are so lucky to live close to London and the West End shows .... if I lived closer I would go to them all. I know we are only 2 - 3 hours away by train but it also costs us approx £60- £70 return per person. However it is worth it as it is a fantastic night out ... a meal, a show and then a wander ..... and I would rather pay that than have a night out around here. Which shows are you planning to see? ... we may come to London in October and will probably see Phantom again. Will be looking for a cheap hotel though, as I have run out of airmiles and priority points

I am seeing South Pacific in a few weeks with my mum, sister & s-i-l....a girlie day out. Then early December Lee & I are going to see War Horse & do some christmas shopping. I've booked to see Totem (Cirque du Soleil) at the Royal Albert Hall in January, I saw it this year with my sister & her kids but booked again as soon as I got home for Lee as he likes CdS too & it was amazing. Lastly i've just this week booked tickets for One Man Two Guvnors with James Corden. I booked as a surprise for Lee then when I wrote it on my calendar I realised it's the day after Totem so i've booked a hotel and a nice restaurant too, i'll give him the tickets for christmas.

I love South Pacific but have yet to see it in the theatre. We have the movie musical on DVD. When we were in London last year, got to see Les Miserables, Wicked and the Lion King. Great deals for tickets for Les Mis and Wicked - even less than the half price NYC prices! The euro was down last summer so that may have played a part! DD and I go up to NYC almost every year even for just the day from Baltimore (where my family lives). Its about 3 hours by bus but the Megabus offers fares for as little as $1 to $22 each way! That's how we get to go up there so much! We are big musical afficionados. Sometimes we stay if I can find a good deal on priceline for a Times Square area hotel too.

I am desperate to go to London on the 27th for the last night of Love Never Dies ... but at the moment I am on call so I will have to try and swap it. I would also love to go to the 25th anniversary Phantom concert at the Albert, but tickets are £180

My Mum was a dancer in South Pacific and she always says that I was in it too ..... she was in early stages of pregnancy at the time she was in it. So maybe my love of musicals started in the womb !!!

I have seen it 4 times - twice here in St. Louis, once in Chicago and once in London. The London cast was the best by far!

We live 1 hour from NYC so we go in a lot. We see about 2-3 shows a year. Les Mis is my absolute favorite. Saw it 4 times. Phantom twice. Loved, loved, loved Wicked. We recently saw the Cirque Du Soliel show at Radio City. WE usually see the Radio City Christmas Spectactular. We alternate every other year with the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center. My favorite. DH, not so much but I drag him anyway. I love to see the tree in Rockerfellar Center every year. It's been a tradition since I was a kid. Sometimes we just go in for dinner on a Sat or Sun. We love Little Italy. great places to eat. I love going into the World of Disney store in Times Square once in a while to get a mini Disney fix.

Although not a musical I booked tickets to see Penn & Teller just now. We love them but they weren't on when we were in Vegas so I just grabbed tickets to see them in London in December!

I've been to NYC twice but only seen one show on Broadway, that was 42nd Street. There was a group of us celebrating a friends 40th and lets just say we were all hungover & tired.....well all of us fell asleep and then right at the end of the show a gun is fired, which scared the living daylights out of us all, we all screamed and jumped out of our seats.

Here no VGT assignment yet. I see Mickey swimming and swimming and swimming and.........nothing yet.
But you cann't book anymore on the cruise.

LOL! I know! Just priced out easyjet and it is considerable less(like half price) but not the fab deal that we got last year. It's 85 euro each plus the 40 for the Eurostar. It would be out of CDG so thats not too bad but it would take twice as long. Ugh!

Try the site or momondo.com They search all flights from London to Barcelona. The cheapest is from Ryan Air, but that leaves from Stansted to Girona. You must travel a lot then.
There are several flights from easy jet. And then shows BA. You can pick the cheapest one.
It's a pitty, but flying isn't that cheap anymore.

I have magnet paper on A6 format, so it's very small.
Can I print my magnets on A4 photopaper and put one small magnetpaper behind and laminate it together?
Is that what you suggets? Does that hold?
