Karen I've always wondered how you pronounce Cerby :confused3 Hope you are feeling better, I had my tonsils out when I was three. I remember everyone promising me that I could eat all the icecream I wanted after the surgery .. what they didn't tell me was that I wouldn't feel like eating it

It's actually pronounced sir-bee. It's short for Cerberus (gary thought it'd be a good name) But it kinda got shortened over time to cerby and cerb

Feeling not quite as bad today (notice I haven't said better :rotfl:) but have been feeling quite faint today, but I'm pretty sure that's because I haven't eaten a proper meal since thursday

This is My Wifes Dog lol

I have read it here on the DIS: 0% Onboard Credit Prepayment

and Auntlynne has also confirmed she has done this in the past. I think you need to do it about a week before departure - short enough so your clock doesn't start too early but long enough before the system blocks you out of doing things.

Thanks!! Still not sure how to keep track of the different balances, but I'll manage.

It's funny you ask...had a larger bill on the ebta than I ever expected! By day 2, I was up to $750 :scared1:, so was more careful since we had 12 more days :rotfl2: & we ended up at about 1,200 by the end. Obviously we are all different, but we just sort of dabbled in a few things, brought tons of our own booze/wine, and didn't expect a big bill.

And I'm NOT a huge spender either, like many around me ;) jk), but dabbled in a few things (and usually just once!): 1 visit to the spa, only 1 DCL excursion, internet package, a few drinks & coffees, a couple tastings, 1 gift shop visit, 1 bingo, 1 trip to the duty free shop...it adds up quickly, so hope this helps some...

You sound like us. We racked up huge bills on our 4-nighters just with FABs, RABs, and wine with dinner. We will definitely take our glasses of wine to dinner this time.

Here's what I've figured so far:

Photo CD - $399
Spa Treatment - $85
Gratuities - $336 (for 2)
Palo - $80 (dinner & brunch for 2)
Mixology & Mojitos - $80 (for 2)
CC Cabana (split 3 ways) - $167
Excursions (non-Disney) - $350 (approx.)

Total = $1497 :eek: :scared1:

I'm sure there will be plenty of other items to help us run up the bill, but this might give you an idea. I did gasp a bit at the gratuity total, but it is 14 nights, so that's okay.

Has anyone done the Exotic Rasul treatment at the Spa? I booked it for one of the sea days b/c I heard it was, ahem, entertaining. It's also way less than the couples cabana massage we did last year, which imho, was not worth the cost.

Also...

Is anyone else having trouble accessing Facebook? I haven't been able to get on since last night. I keep getting this message:

Sounds strange to me.

John and I have really enjoyed doing the Exotic Rasul. Since this is a family board I will just say it is quite enjoyable. If you want more details, pls PM me.

What a sweet wife you are to take the time to plan special events for your anniversary ... Lee is a lucky man :bride::lovestruc:groom:

Aww thanks Karen but i'm the lucky one, he takes good care of me. :lovestruc

I am dreading the bill! :scared1:

We (or should that be I :lmao:) racked up over $2000 on each of our 4 night cruises, without any excursions. :rotfl2:

I was thinking of doing this too.....I just want to have a mud fight. :rotfl2:

Loving all the doggie pics.

I was wondering if any of you that have previously done the WBTA or EBTA would be willing to share how much you spent onboard over the 14 days. Obviously this will vary based on how much you drink, like to shop, etc, but I am just trying to get a ballpark.

We will be calling DCL in advance to put an OBC onto our shipboard account - we'll get six months 0% interest for doing this using our Disney Visa - so I'd like to preferably prepay as much as possible so it qualifies for the no-interest deal. Not sure how much to tell them to put on the account so I was hoping to gather some data from others.

Thanks - Chris

I am going to check my cc statement from last May to see - I'll let you know.

Glad you're not feeling worse today, I guess that's an improvement?

What an inventive name for a dog - we went with Lucky which is pretty simple and common I guess!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: All this talk of onboard spend .... I hope my DH doesn't see this otherwise will not make it onboard in first place. Does anyone know what a TA spa pass for whole curise will cost ? , because DH won't come to find me in the spa..... :rotfl2: so just wondering what price escape?

FE ALERT!!

colkath2005 (Colette and her DM) asked to be added to all of the FE groups. This means that two of the groups (Barcelona and St. Maarten) are now up to 20 cabins! :woohoo: I've closed out those groups, so if you are in Group Barcelona or St. Maarten, you now have your complete list.

Everyone participating in the FE needs to check their group list to get the info for Colette and her DM - they are actually two separate parties.

The remaining groups have one slot left on each list, except for Port Canaveral (Group 7) which has several spaces. I'll post updates as each group is filled.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Thank you for that heads up Pat. I'm still in the thinking about it phase, so adding more is all good. So now need panic to set in.... to kick start myself / so wish I was the organised type.

OMG Claire how much champagne did you drink in Pink :lmao::lmao:

Ladies, if you want the low down on the exotic rasual, send me a pm :rotfl2: we've done it a couple of times, it's worth the money I think and the bubbly is lovely :)

If you're watching the Casey Anthony trial, the jury has a verdict. They've given everyone time to get to the courthouse. It will be read at 2:15 eastern time.

I didn't drink any......:rolleyes1 ;)

I really do need to bring lots of alcohol onboard this time, that is definitely the error of my ways. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You can email me the info. :thumbsup2

Im glad you posted this as we have been wondering the exact same thing. with never having cruised before its very hard to budget an amount for spending. Although my heart has jumped a few times when i've read peoples amounts!! :lmao:

The two of us spent about $480 on last year's EB, plus tips (which we paid in cash and gave more than rec. amt.). It didn't seem like we were spending much, but we did the Exotic Rasul, Palo brunch, tea and dinner, and spent the rest in the shops. I had a few FABs and Larry only had a few Cove coffees. All of our excursions were private, so nothing went on our cards in that respect. This year, we have a healthy amt. of OBC but will be a party of five and spending much more, I'm sure :scared1:.

Oh yes, I forgot about the internet charge....pretty high for poor service; don't think we'll bother this time since DD and DM will be with us, but it is another expense for you to consider.

I can't believe she got off!!!!!! :sad2:

UN - FREAKING - BELIEVABLE!!!!!!

:scared1: :scared1: :sad2: :sad2:

She'll get a max of 4 years for lying to police, and she's already served 3. Wow. That's justice for you. So who the h### killed the child?? Did she chloroform and duct tape herself??? And put herself in the trunk of Casey's car to rot??? And jump out into the swamp???

OMG, now her sleaze-bag lawyers are on talking about how the media assassinated Casey's character. UGH!!

I have to go pick up my "kids" from doggie-daycare. I can't watch any more of this travesty.

How much do you spend, that is really tough, and it depends on how much we can pay for in advance (excursions, packages). You have to consider that the tips alone run $300+ for two people for 14 days. (Not sure if DCL is $11 or $12 a day).

As part of the rate code we used, we had to pre-pay gratuities. They were $12/day each... so for our family of four, $48/day.

We did it on Celebrity. And yes, we behaved. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but Curt prefers not to do it again. The steam/heat just wiped him OUT! He went back to the cabin and slept for three hours! I still want to do it again though, but have not been able to coerce him.

I can't believe she got off!!!!!! :sad2:

Shocked.

I wish, though my very own Mr McDreamy was sitting with me throughout!!!:rotfl2: No, just it was worth it for the medical reasons and peace of mind.

Aww thanks Karen but i'm the lucky one, he takes good care of me. :lovestruc

Lovely to hear such positive thoughts about husbands :lovestruc

I have thought about surprising Ed with this, but most reports I've read have said that it is really hot .. as in the temperature of the room! We don't really love saunas, do you think we would enjoy the rasual?

I can't believe she got off!!!!!! :sad2:
I haven't followed this closely, did she get off with an insanity plea? There is insanity somewhere in that courtroom

It's just shocking!!!! I doubt she'll even do another year, they were talking on whatever online channel I was watching and said she'll probably be freed by the weekend.

There definitely is some insanity in that court!!!! :sad2:

The jury found her not guilty on first degree murder, manslaughter & child abuse. :sad2: She was only found guilty for lying to the Police on 4 counts.
