I just sent a request to join the Facebook group and was about to post a request here so the administrators would recognize me, but before I could do so, my request had already been approved! :worship:

Thanks!

FE NOTICE

We're approaching 40 cabins (89 people) signed up for the FE, so it's probably time that we discuss whether or not we want to split the list.

If you are participating in the FE, please post your opinions/preferences on the following:

First, do you think we should split the list or not?

Next, how many staterooms do you think would be reasonable for each list?

Finally, would you be interested in participating in more than one list?

If there is anything else we need to talk about, please make suggestions. I'll definitely work the lists so that there are approximately the same number of cabins/people and adult to child ratios on each.

If anyone would prefer to PM your ideas (or concerns), please feel free. I think we can all agree that few of us have unlimited resources - or luggage space - so please be frank about this. I wouldn't want anyone to feel that they can't participate because of the numbers involved.

I understand why you would want to "group" the FE. On the Panama Canal trip it was one big group. On the EBTA it was divided into 4 groups of approx 50 people each. I was in all groups.
If you choose to divide this one, I will also join all groups.
Thanks for organizing this.

O, we are going on friday the 30th. We stay afterwards the cruise till oct-2 in Caribbean Beach Resort and go for the first time to a halloween party. We are looking forward to it.

we are going to that party as well, we are also going to the one on the 2nd oct, can you tell we love the party lol, :cool1:

I think FE groups of 20 cabins would be good. I'm not sure if I would want to do more than one group or not but probably would. On the MV of the dream we didn't split and it was way too much for us. We had over 100 rooms.

I'm not sure about the cabanas at serenity bay but we got one at the family beach and it was full price. It would be nice if we could stay longer at CC. I keep hoping we'll be surprised like we were on one cruise they let us stay in Key West until 1 AM instead of the 9 PM departure we had scheduled.

Yes it was one big one on the PC in January and we enjoyed it!!! We will also join all groups if it gets divided. :cool1:

So I just booked the Hotel Cuatros Naciones. I chose them because they got decent reviews on TripAdvisor, they are near Las Ramblas, and they had a quad. Plus they were only 152 euros, which i thought was a good rate for all 4 of us. I wanted to book le Meridien but they are sold out :confused3.

Has anyone ever heard of/stayed at/going to stay at Hotel Cuatros Naciones?

Just been a good girl!! Have done my API's for both flights and updated our Estas and printed them out. Ahhhhh. Might do the cruise check in now! I always get a tad stressed with all this stuff so will be glad when it is done.

Hi there fellow cruisers! My dad and I just returned from the WBTA and had so much fun we decided to book the EBTA too! Have to get all those hours back right? :thumbsup2

Oh Karen you read my mind, yeah 20 sounds like a great number, and I also might sign up for multiples.....

If however if I do sign up for multiples I guess that might mean I end up with some of the same people twice...... In which case I think we just need to be clear that if you do end up with the same folks in more than one group you don't need to give them multiple gifts....

Does that make sense???

It was so clear in my brain LOL

SW

I was going to suggest 20 aswell it's a great number for those that have restricted luggage space. :thumbsup2

I may also sign up for multiples and agree with what Warren is suggesting about only giving gifts to a cabin once if you have them in more than one group. :thumbsup2

Good point - I hadn't thought of that. I think it was germinating in the back of my brain, but we do need to spell it out. I can indicate on the lists who is on multiples.

I think 20 sound like a good number, too, but let's wait a couple of days to give everyone a chance to chime in.

Thanks for the quick responses!

I originally planned to do gifts for everyone, so I need to get myself in gear if I'm going to finish them in time!

Hi Monique and welcome. Glad to have you onboard. But, this is the WBTA, so I am presuming you have just done the EBTA!!!!! And yes, getting those hours back is fabulous!!!:cool1:

I had asked this on the previous thread but think it got buried:

If we book excursions through DCL when can we still cancel without penalty? The charges are not made for excursions until embarkation, I assume?

Also, how does the OBC process work? We have $200 coming from DU and another $50 for using Disney Visa. Is this automatically applied to your account and a note sent to your stateroom when you get on the ship? I'm just wondering what happens if the correct amount(s) aren't applied and we don't know it until we set sail. :confused3

I rather think you have to cancel before a certain day so i would check online to see if it says anything or else send off an email to DCL. I know we couldn't cancel our excursion a couple of days prior, but i don't know if that is because it was a few days before or if it was because they had distributed the tickets. I think the tickets actually said non refundable, and they are in your stateroom waiting for you when you get onboard.

As far as the OBC goes you should have a slip in your stateroom for each part of your OBC, in your case 2. If one seems missing go to Guest Services and query it.

Just completed our online check in thank goodness. It isn't too hard, just something that has to be done! Chosen our port arrival time too. Hope that works well in Barcelona.

I can relax now for a while.:dance3:

I'm going on the cruise with my son, so I'm happy to hear of another parent/child pair. If I'm reading right, there are a few of us. I also live in Orlando. We'll have to chat about when you are leaving for Barcelona and how you are getting back from the terminal when we return. Maybe we can share transport.

Karen

I am open to whatever works best for others as far as splitting the group goes. We are in the process of making stateroom gifts right now, maybe up to 100, and have an idea for individual gifts too, so we will want to be on multiple lists.

I understand what you're saying and totally agree we don't need multiple gifts from the same person ... except if your gift is British chocolate, we will gladly take multiples of that

Welcome aboard :goodvibes It seems we have a lot of returning EBTA's in our group .. Disney must have put on a good cruise experience for you guys :thumbsup2

My only concern is if we got another 50 cabins signed up in the last few weeks before our cruise. As we are doing handmade gifts I would really like to be finished with it before the last month, will we have a cut off date for sign up?

Thanks for all of the well wishes on the garage sale! :goodvibes It is going much slower today so we will probably wrap it up soon! It is also terribly hot!

As far as the fish extenders goes, we would be all for dividing up groups, I don't think we would be able to do a huge group of gifts, but would still like to have the option to sign up for more than one list if we wanted to. I also think a cut-off date for signing up is a good idea.

Have a great Saturday everyone!
