Thanks for the heads up on the photos ...... she seems to be enjoying herself. We heard from her the first night but nothing on FB, but she is useless with technology and if she is busy doing other fun stuff then FB can wait. Seeing these photos has really cheered me up this morning. :thumbsup2

Hilarious!!

Of course, someone has to come along and spoil the fun. "Oh, bad parents, allowing the child to be terrified!" What's the point of having kids if you can't terrify them and laugh about it once in a while? :confused3

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

This comment did make me LOL!
Myself and my partner have no children but we have been in childcare for 14 years and are now childminders, and that is so true!! Obviously we dont terrify the kids in our care, but we do undo the bubble wrap they come in each day! LOL

Anyway back to work :laundy:

Completely :offtopic: but how on earth do you multi quote??

Look at the bottom right of the post you want to quote. Click on the one with 2 quotation marks, I think it is the middle one. It will light up red. Keep reading through posts and as you want to quote them, just do the same. Then once you are ready to post, click on reply as normal, and in the box will be all the quotes you have clicked on. You can type just after each one.

I am sure somebody else would write all that much simpler, sorry!!!:lmao:

No you explained it perfectly thankyou :goodvibes

Yeah, didn't think about that til after I posted it.

I'd do the individual bag thing, but I've read where DCL doesn't let you bring any food aboard that isn't "factory sealed." Hmmm... I might be able to find someone to do the individual packages. Heaven knows I know enough food service related people around here - caterers, bakers, etc. I'll have to give that some thought. Anything to avoid Stuckey's Pecan Logs! :scared:

Of course, if we have people with peanut allergies, that might not be so good.

No peanut allergies so far, only a seafood allergy. I know it sounds weird to mention when doing a candyswap, but since I've learned some parts of this world will incorporate seafood into candy I've decided to mention it when supplying participants with the info needed in one of those "better safe than sorry" things.

I'm going down the same road if I can't find the individual bags I'm searching for and have a store package it into small indiv. packages for me. That way DCL accepts it and I could see some participants feeling a bit anxious about getting candy without an "original" wrapping. I'm actually really considering just going down that road as it leaves me with the option to customize. One of the many candy thingies that is typical Dutch is licorice. Sure, you can get it in most countries nowadays but nothing compares to the REAL licorice. Isn't that the truth, Liesbeth? ;) However, we've got like hundreds of different sorts of licorice and it would be fun to be able to give participants the option to try a couple of them instead of just one. Same goes for the typical old dutch candy, comes in so many lovely tastes. And with such little amount of kids participating, I'm strongly considering adding a special kiddotype of candy for them.

Thanks! and the magnet clip i find in the kitchen accessories section - you know like to hang on your fridge or the clip your chips with. No matter what you choose - try it out before you leave - I have had ones not heavy enough slide down my door!

Grin, sounds just like things I could have happen. Ordered some extra strong magnetic tape on Ebay yesterday, so I'll be trying it out at home and see if the whiteboard can stay put for the next 80 or so days to come.

We are Plat. cruisers and that is one of the perks - by doing 10 or more cruises you get a free dinner at Palo (I just say you have prepaid for it after having done 10 cruises!)

Wondering; is that only dinner or do you get to pick that or something else at Palo? If it's only dinner, I think that's a sneaky smart move. Seems there is a lot less desire to do dinner amongst most cruisers and it could be a bit of a mute "gift" to more loyal guests if they'll not use it.

I even asked our server on the EBTA and got nothing!

Must be a big hush hush thing. Allthough, Oprah. Hmm. Could be an option indeed. That could be a good reason for there being no real big rumours yet. Doesn't she just keep her mouth shut untill as late as possible before surprising staff with these types of trips? Or is that just something I somehow made up after remembering news items about this stuff? (yep, whenever she pulls another something like this it hits the news here......)

As far as men to drool over go? I'll just keep my mouth shut. You guys daydream, share fantasies and drool and I'll just sneak off and grab me the best of them all. :rolleyes1;) Hey, I'm single, a girls got to do what a girls got to do. :rotfl2: I guess I could give one hint as it's safe enough with the distance and all. My back up physical therapist looks so good, he makes any of the names mentioned on this thread look like throlls. :worship: Combine that with an even better personality. One guess who I'll be drooling over this afternoon during my session. :goodvibes

Oh cool, that's sound interesting.....

Yet more stuff for me to buy on the trip no doubt :)

Here goes !!

You can now see why you immediately spang to mind :lmao:

Now, to go back to where I was....sheesh! I'm so far behind! Darn work that keeps me from being on the DisBoards!

Michelle, we never sail without one. It's great leaving messages for each other, and neighbours usually put messages on them too when passing by. Even with the wave phones on the last cruise, we all still wrote on the whiteboard where we all were for ease of catching up with each other when we were finished with an activity.

No doubt you will be leaving messages on mine daily & vice versa!!! ;)

You looked gorgeous in your wedding dress, so i'm sure you will look fabbie in one on the cruise too, we can have a swifter before we go out on formal night for some dutch courage :thumbsup2

Awww thanks hun!

We will definitely have a glass or two - purely for dutch courage. ;) :thumbsup2

That's crazy, I didn't honestly think that anyone would steal magnets from someone else's door :confused3

I know, i was surprised!

Quite often the door magnet stealing is mischief(:confused3) making by kids and teens and you might find them on a door somewhere down the corridor!

We actually found them when delivering my FE gifts, they were on a door a couple of decks below us. :sad2:

Ditto!! I enjoyed looking through them as well. Tink was good with helping that smile! :rotfl2:

That one is hilarious! :lmao::lmao: My favorite was the one with Anastasia grinning evilly (is that even a word?) at the little boy who is leaning WAAAAYY back. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I love Bones, it is probably my fave show ever!!! I can't believe how this season finished! I hope they hurry up with the next one!!!

Bones & House - the 2 shows that I try not to miss! :thumbsup2 I'm with you, ready for the next season - of both shows!
"Bones" reminds me a lot of my daughter - Asperger's all the way! ;)

OH MY HEAVENS! I got my laugh for the week! :lmao::lmao: I loved the Tinkerbell one! :rotfl2::rotfl2: So glad you put that thread on there!

Did you see the picture of Peter Pan on the bench??? I thought of you and of our weird encounter with him at the table. :rotfl: Too bad we didn't get a photo of you with him - or anyone else at the table for that matter....could have posted it on that thread. :lmao::lmao::lmao: It sure looked like the same guy, too!!! <creepy> :scared1:

Thanks for that. This is how I had read the stuff on DCL web site. When we flew domestic on Delta in Dec, they charged for every checked bag. If you go the DCL route of checking, do they still charge you? Yes you still get charged for bags, we are exempt from that with delta and always have a hassle to get the charges removed - no matter how many times I tell them and give them documentation!

Our only concern would be time. We have a 1230 flight out of Orlando, so if the line is too long to check that bag... our last flight was that time, but we used the elite line so it was not really long but you might be able to just tell them you need to drop off additional luggage - as there is a place to drop luggage for people who checked in online and that line is never long - i used the other line because I did not know for sure if we could do it or not.

Or since we will have been traveling for two weeks most of our liquids will probably be under three ounces anyway, or we just toss them! just remember the bottle must say 3 ounces or under - they do not let larger sizes in even if there is only 3 ounces left. We use the disney supplied products - love them.

it states it is for dinner but we have heard of some people using it for brunch - you still have to get your own reservation - and there are more dinner reservations since they have it everynight than the brunch and tea as they are only on sea days.
