i'll look for the shirts next week :)

claire - thanks :)

they tend to come up quite small. they go from size 6 to 16, not sure they're all in stock but i'll look on wednesday when i get back from my charity walk thing

they come in UK sizes 6-16. let me know what size you need and i'll see if we've got the right size

If they run small, please get me whatever the equivalent to US Extra Large is. Not sure of UK sizes.

:confused3:confused3 I have no idea what to buy, a new laptop or an ipad ?

Help ??

I am sure a few of you here have ipads, would you recommend one over a laptop or a notebook?

I love my iphone, so I am familiar with the technology.

As a typical libran, I don't do decisions :confused3:confused3

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my I pad, I've only had it a few months and it's "changed my life" LOL

My friend asked me wether she should buy her boyfriend one for his birthday.... And I told her it would "change his life" and she laughed at that....

It's been 2 weeks since his birthday and I asked her how he was getting on with it and she replied "it's changed his life" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love the fact that during the ad breaks I can at the push of a button be online then a second later be back watching TV.

However although it's the greatest web surfing tool i've ever used it's not a compleate replacement for a laptop/desktop. In fact the first thing you need to do when you turn it on for the first time is plug it into your main computer

I am sure I read today that it had stopped erupting. i hope so.

Talk about de-ja-vu we were having these exact same conversations about eruptions on the lead up to last years WBTA, but it all worked out well in the end

Well it's been a bit of a manic week at work, but after 5 days back online after my 10 day vacation I've finally caught up with the boards, what a chatty lot you all are. I promise not to got away till the cruise now.

Or else i'll never keep up LOL

Just looked on a few size comparison charts and they all seem to agree that a UK size 16 is a USA size 14. Which apparently is a large. Is that ok or too small?

Such a lot to worry about last year, the ash cloud, BA strikes and the Spanish air traffic controllers strikes. We all got there though!!

I have lost the plot totally....and I have a feeling it's about to get worse over the next few days. Stress & worry make me eat! :guilty:

Are you getting word about Stamy? How is he doing?

I had to take my gang to the vet's today for their vaccinations, annual blood work, etc. The young kids are fine, but the old guys are having some issues.

Pablo (the Min Pin) is having his teeth cleaned. Dennis is picking him up after work. His teeth were pretty bad (plaque) and apparently he developed tonsillitis because of this. The tonsillitis has been causing him to cough like he's going to bring up a lung. He also has gone blind in his right eye, but his left eye is fine. Getting old is tough on all of us!

They x-rayed George's (the lab mastiff) back legs. Doc was afraid his swollen left knee was cancer, but it turned out to be bone degeneration. It's actually pretty bad. There's nothing they can do about it but give him anti-inflammatory meds and try to keep him comfortable. The poor old thing still runs around the yard after the youngsters, but he avoids putting weight on that left leg. They also did blood work on him to check his liver, kidneys, etc., all of which are usually fine. So it's not time, yet, but we're going to be very vigilant about his "quality of life."

I can hardly wait to get the bill for all this! Still, I don't have to send them to college, they don't ask to borrow the car, and they don't hang out with weirdos, so I can't complain too much!

But when Doc said, "not cancer" I did think of you and Stamy. Hope you get good news soon. :dog2:

If UK 16 is US 14 than that should be OK. I wear 12-14. I trust your judgement. If it looks really small then get 16 extra large. I would rather it too big than to small.

I know you raved about the ipad before Warren, so thanks for that. I am soooo looking forward to getting it. If I get stuck, I know who to ask :)

Ordered it this afternoon and my delivery date is not until 21st June :confused3
Thanks also to the british forces discounts, I got a sweet 5% off the price.

One to remember Sarah if you ever buy one or use the apple website, it counts for ex-servicemen, so Tony will qualify for the 5% off too :thumbsup2

Oh

Just found out that the new flagship Disney Store in London has its grand opening on Saturday!!!!

It's the largest Disney store in Europe, twice the size of the one it replaced,,,

I feel a " fact finding" mission on The cards

 Thanks hun......but we kind of have had word that it may be the dreaded "C". :sad2: I had a very strange call from the vet on Tuesday night that some of the lab results had come through but it wasn't confirmed :confused3 anyway she said the lump on his head was showing as a Mast Cell tumour....(aka skin cancer) which was my worse fear, it's exactly what he had on his ear last year. :sad1:

We are back at the vets tomorrow evening to have his stitches taken out so hopefully we will find out more then, I really can not bare to wait any longer.

Big hugs to Pablo and George, I hope George's meds help. :wizard: It's really not nice to see them poorly or struggling.

The one on Oxford Street?

I am hoping to pay it a visit when i'm in London early July. :)

So sorry to hear this sad diagnosis, but hopefully they will be able to treat it. Sending :hug::hug::hug: and hoping things go better than expected tomorrow.

Yes that's right,

They decided to move out of their old location opposite Bond St. Station sounds like this new store will be an improvement though, with it's larger retail space and interactive elements...

I'm just hoping it might have enough space to stock a bit more quality stock than the endless plastic toys and plush that most disney stores here in the uk seem to thrive on....

How about some homeware, collectables, art, watches, menswear .......

Well here's hoping,

Sadly that is not just happening in the UK stores ... I'm with you on homeware etc, I'm tired of all the plastic toys too. Going to the Disney Store was the best part of the mall experience for me .. now I could care less. They should just rename it as A Disney Toy Store. :sad1:

I'm sorry to those who have furry friends not feeling so well, hope they feel better soon :dog2:

Oh, I'm so sorry! I hope it's treatable. I know what you mean - waiting for news can be harder than knowing.

Neville (the terrier-ish mutt) is all out of it tonight and his hip is sore from his shots. Pablo came through his teeth-cleaning like a champ, although he had to have an abscessed tooth removed. George is like a new dog after the shot they gave him. I warned him not to overdue it, though. Luna is just Luna - nothing phases her much. And Juanita only had to have a bordatella vacc so she can go to doggy day-care to get ready for boarding while we're away.

Dennis is all weird b/c Neville isn't his usual Stitch-like self and George and Pablo are basically getting old (or in George's case, ancient). He doesn't understand that dogs adapt. As far as Pablo is concerned, as long as he can find a lap to sleep on (preferably mine), he's happy. I'm feeling a bit ill after getting home from work and seeing the bill.  I think we just made our vet's house payment.  We'll be drinking a few less FABs, but that's okay. The kids are worth it.

We'll keep sending good doggy karma your way for Stamy!

Thanks Sarah, i've given up trying to sleep just need to make it through to tonight now.

I know what you mean, I used to love going in the Disney store but it really is a disappointment now with just kids stuff. :sad2: I look forward to hearing what you think of it.

Do you know whereabouts on Oxford Street it is?

Thanks Pat, we will be needing all the good karma we can get today.

Glad to hear George & Pablo are ok, hope Neville is feeling better after a good nights sleep. Poor Dennis, it is hard to watch your dogs getting older I hate it when mine are ill or not their usual selves. :guilty:

I know what you mean ..... we just get the odd T-Shirt for adults and thats it. It used to be so much better. Perhaps we should all voice our complaints.
We may pop to London in July so if it's any improvement you will have to let us know. Saying that, we will just have returned from WDW so we will have no doubt splurged in the shops there ;)

Claire, I did try to reply to you earlier on but it timed out..

I'm so sorry....Hope you get a better explanation tonight at the vets... for you and a huge  for Stamy.
