To be honest we really fancy cruising out of Venice next year and doing Croatia, Montenegro, Italy etc. Celebrity do a fantastic itinerary which overnights in Venice .... 12 nights for £600 ish pp. It will be hard to turn our back on DCL, but the flight costs to USA are really putting me off. If I was to do DCL we would be looking at West Coast plus Alaska, but may put that off until 2013. The kids really want to go to Disneyland Paris next year too, so we may do that with them and the Celebrity cruise just the 2 of us !!

Holy c**p!! Good thing we don't have a CF anywhere near here! A couple of those entrees are my total calorie allotment for a day and a half!! I didn't even get to the desserts. Think I'll stick with my relatively low-cal home cooking.

Off to work. Got bit by a dog Tuesday (my fault), but it's healing up fine. Hopefully, no repeats of that today!

Well that is a great cruise line and fantastic itinerary. I would quite like to do the Eastern Med. We have been to quite a few of the places on Western Med itineraries, so the Eastern would be great.

Plus I really don't enjoy flying, and 3 long flights this year is not ideal really, so I am looking forward to a year off long flights.

Alway nice to know that the Hawaiian pizza I love so much is over 1400 calories! That shouldn't put too much of a strain on the zipper of an already snug "week 2" dress.

We lived here in Atlanta in 1996 when they held the Olympics....It was FANTASTIC!!! There were so many events to see, so much going on in town - and the traffic was Great! despite what everyone had predicted.

Those few weeks were the best time I have spent here in Atlanta - it was "magical". I hope you all have the same experience, and ENJOY it!!!!!

We are completely undecided. I just checked out flights for LV and then onward to Seattle for the Alaskan and it is quite expensive for flights, but the NY sailings - 8 night Bahamian and then B2B NY to Canada looks good. Just checked VA and they do free flights on airmiles to JFK in late June, so that would offset a huge cost for flights against the cruises to make it worth our while.

(all bearing in mind I checked the availability for the same time this year as a comparison).

All that said, we were hoping to holiday in Europe next year. Sarah, we might follow you and go to another cruise line that sails in the eastern med it'll be hard, but might have to be done
