Well I have just tried on one of my formal dresses which I bought from Ebay and I am pleased to say that it actually fits me and I actually like it. Just need to get an inch or 2 off the bottom so it doesn't drag on the floor. So one step closer ..... just a semi-formal to find now (and if I don't find one I like I have one which will do from last year !! )

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Someone has a video up of the Wonder coming under the Golden Gate Bridge - they blew the horn and it echoed :)

So glad some of you were able to see her in port.

Lovely day here in the great north east. More yardwork is on the agenda. We hope to wrap up the spring clean up today.

Happy Day, All!

hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, i would love to do the san fransisco cruise but dont think i could manage the flight to california, can just about manage orlando lol, good news on the dresses sarah, havent tried mine on again yet will leave it a bit longer, i have been good on my diet though didnt even have an easter egg, but it will be worth it when the dress zips up lol, susie

I don't know if anyone is interested but MNSSHP tickets are on sale now.

We're not going but those of you that are...some dates are bookable online and others you have to call for.

Also the price of the WBTA has dropped a little bit more..not alot, but still every little helps.

That's funny Michelle, I was just looking at MNSHHP as they usually go on sale on 1st May & I couldn't find the online ticket sales, do you have the link?

Claire, if I post the link it will just take you to the UK website and it won't have them on. So the best I can do is tell you :)

Goto http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/.
If it redirects you to the UK site then:
Scroll to the bottom, chose USA: English
Click on tickets & packages - then chose buy tickets.
Select Special Events from the drop down menu and bob's your Uncle. You should now have the MNSSHP tickets to book online.
Like I say some dates are not online and you have to call.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Just wondered if there were any runners in the group?

I run mainly for fitness and weight management, (not fast!)

Ran on the running deck a couple of times but the ship was in port so I will make a point of running on some of the sea days this time, used the treadmills in the fitness centre a couple of times also and tried a spin class as well.

Col

We are in training for running the 5K on Castaway Cay, we will be the ones at the back of the group

How fun to see the Wonder in SF, I would love it if they had stopped somewhere in Oregon :cloud9:

Thanks Michelle, I was hoping they would have the 24th, 25th or 26th showing but no luck. :sad2: No MNSSHP for us. :guilty:

We did the Castaway Cay 5K last time on the WBTA .... in the end only 4 of us did it, and I did a fast walk. I will certainly not be doing it again as I felt I lost a lot of time on Castaway Cay.

Sarah, how long did it take you guys? I was hoping it would only take an hour .. maybe that's wishful thinking :confused3 We are using C25K as a way to get our weight under control, with the CC 5K as our goal. Most likely we will only do it the one time as well ;)

As there are no Canadian drivers, I'll be true to my British roots and will be supporting Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button :banana::banana:

We'll have to try and remember to have the photos of the event on our iPad to show you on the cruise ;)

:woohoo::woohoo: You support my favourites :woohoo::woohoo: don't forget about Paul di Resta the rookie this year, he's Scottish :thumbsup2

Would love to see your photos :)

My neighborhood and city received mainly straight-line wind damage to trees in Wednesday's storms. However, this is one of the deadliest days of tornadoes in Alabama history. I think the death toll is pushing 200, despite a very good warning system. No one is quite sure why so many weren't able (or willing) to get to safety. It is a possibility that the storms were of a magnitude that underground bunkers would have been needed for survival.

We are just inconvenienced, no damage or injuries. Our power grid is off-line due to their shutting down the country's 2nd largest nuclear plant to prevent incident- and major power lines feeding from that plant having been knocked down.

They told us to prepare for 4-5 days (or longer) before power is restored to 1 million residents of North Alabama.

Lynne, I hope you are all staying safe during this awful weather

Hello all

I'm super lucky to live so close to London, so when I woke up today I decided to go up and join in the wedding day festivities.

Left home at 8.30 and managed to get a spot on the The Mall, which is the main road leading to Buckingham Palace. Saw Charles, Camilla, The Queen and Kate whizz by on their way to the Abby,

And later was really lucky to get a spot close to the palace and I could see William and Kates kisses.

I feel so lucky to have been able to go and enjoy the day and wonderful atmosphere.

Now I'm sat at home watching the highlights on the BBC to see all the bits I missed

SW

Yeah it really was lovely, and I got lucky to be able to see the couple, and be part of the day.

I almost didn't go as I wasn't sure i'd get to see anything, but I just got lucky, and kept thinking of all my friends around the world who'd would love the chance to spend the day in London.

The crowds at times were insane, they made even a bad day at EPCOT seem deserted.

SW

Warren, what a fantastic opportunity to be there on the day. If I was local I would have definitely have gone too. You are so lucky to have been part of such a special day :woohoo:

Went up to San Francisco today to see the Wonder off. She looked so great in port with the bridge in the background. Met up with some cool Disers and took pics and waved. The sounding of the horn was delightful:thumbsup2

Nice metting you Noel and John.

Heading down to Disneyland this week.......ah the life of no work time constraints :cool1:

:woohoo::woohoo:

Have a great trip to DL :thumbsup2

Awwwhhh Claire, that's a shame you're not going to manage, you were so looking forward to it :sad2:

John took this sequence of photos as the Wonder left the Bay.

Fantastic photos Noel :)

Lynne, I hope you stay safe until the storms are over.

Noel, I just love John's photos of the Wonder and the Golden Gate bridge :thumbsup2
