i've added the info about the secret mickey cut off to the front page. i've decided to go with saturday 13th august, as it still gives people just under a month to buy their gift/s. i'll PM people that week with their giftee details.

oh and are there any pin traders on here?

great saving noel! what cat did you move from and to?

Thank you. We were in a 4A (8024) and went to a 5B (7034). Only difference is 36 square feet which for the two of us is not that big of a deal. I was able to transfer all my on board credits as well so it just made sense!

By the way, I was offered a 1 bedroom suite at at a mere 9.9K. I politely declined!!

Did I read somewhere else on the board that prior to the trip you can call DCL and have an OBC put onto your account using the Disney Visa and receive the 6 months 0% interest?

I believe I saw that as long as you call PRIOR to the trip, it would be charged as a reservation charge and Chase would code it as eligible for 0% - any charges made with the Visa on board would be coded at the usual interest rate.

I just got back from the vets with my two fur babies. When will I learn that it is far less stressful to take them one at a time! :rolleyes1

Anyway my baby boy needs to have two lumps (and a possible third) removed and biopsied on Tuesday along with some chest x rays....so if you've got any spare pixie dust I could use it by the bucket load on Tuesday. :guilty: It was this time last year he had a cancerous tumour removed from his ear, they had to take pretty much all of his inner ear away with it. I don't think I can face anything like that again, it broke my heart to see him crying out in so much pain. :sad1:

Claire, big hugs, prayers and lots of pixie dust for your furry baby boy :wizard: I'm getting choked just thinking about it. It's not nice seeing your animals in pain. Been there, done that, not going back. Give him a big hug, scratch and tickle from us, hugs for you and Lee too :grouphug:

Tod & Copper are keeping their paws crossed for him too

Just made the final payment. I moved us to 7034 and saved over $800. No reason for us to have the extra 36 square feet as long as we have a veranda!

I have updated your room number on the scrapbook exchange. :)

Thanks hun. Thankfully he doesn't seem to be in pain atm he's just not his usual happy self.

No probs. :thumbsup2

Am I going crazy or do I recall someone recently saying you can pre pay your gratuities? If so, do I just call DCL on the usual number?

Yes, you can prepay the gratuities and yes, use the usual number. I usually do this about a week before we leave.

For those booking on the military rate or interline rate, we had to. It was charged at $12 per person per day... so our family of four (2 adults, 1 five-year-old, 1 who will barely be one) it came to $672.

That was me!! Unfortunately if you booked using MEO you can't as your booking is in £s. DCL system can't do it.

I just bought some dollars and put them past instead

Yay! We were thinking of linking dining reservations that are being done on this DIS thread with the request to be seated near other families with kiddos. Might help occupy the kiddos during dinner. Now, of course, one one Celebrity cruise, we were grouped with tablemates, and we learned how to flip our spoon into our glass.... and nobody at the table was under age 30. :rolleyes1

But yes - the 45 min expedited dining is our biggest factor. Plus, when boarding in Barcelona, an 8:30 dinner is like 12:30 back home (noon) and I know our timeclocks will all be out of whack!!

linking dining would be great with other families, would definately not want to inflict my kids as good as they are on adult only groups, as i know you would all understand if there was a meltdown going on :thumbsup2

Good news regarding the Mixology and Mojito tastings...

I've just received this email from Dorothy :)

I will update the first page with this info. I have said a cut off date of 31st July 2011 so we know who is going:)
I will need some more information from those that have expressed and interest in the tastings as the money for it will be charged to their onboard account.

great news, im sure i pm'd before but could you also add my dh brian to the list, he scared in case he misses anything:rolleyes:

I think I will keep the later dining for now. It looks like there are some other families doing this, and if we get seated together maybe the kids will all go off to the clubs together after 45 minutes and I'll have the best of both worlds - I'll get to eat with my kids, then get to eat without them. :yay:

yeah then would be great if we could all be linked, im sure all the kids would prefer to be seated together too instead of having to put up with boring adult talk:crazy2:

oh claire so sorry to hear your news:hug:

im sure you were hoping for a less stressful month after all you been through so far this year :sad2:

:dance3: in the room id either be in bed, shower or on verandah so any spare floor space sure is a waste, great saving:banana:

John and I felt the same way. We liked our room last year but the savings were just too tempting to pass up!!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: 10k.....

We are in 6154. & my MIL is in 6132. She is on my "Military deal".

I can see having a suite like the Walt or Roy for a special occasion if you have a large family. We did it one year to celebrate my father after he passed with an inheritance. Since his name was Walt, it made it doubly special.

Other than that, just for the two of us, I can't see spending the money.

That being said, it was nice to have someone in a suite make lots of special ressies for the group.

I was "upgraded" to a HA 1 bedroom on a 3 day cruise. I had a 9c. I need a veranda for my Service dog . The veranda was not that big on deck 8.

Since we are waiting until port for an upgrade, if we get one who do we need to tell on the boards regards to our changes?

Sorry to hear about you dog..hope everything turns out ok.

We will be celebrating my 40th my bday is the 17th so I am hoping to help our funds with my bday gifts

what ARE we going to do about last minute room changes? especially for people in the FE/secret mickey/scrapbooking/candy swaps?

claire, hope your dog feels better soon, i hate it when cerby has to go in for any vet stuff, i end up worrying about him all day until i get home.

I was going to say, I could use the extra space, but Dennis would just leave more shoes (and socks, eeeewwww) on the floor. ;) :rotfl:

Really? They didn't say anything about that when I booked, and it wasn't on my invoice. I know we didn't have to pay ahead on the military rate on our Oct cruise last year.

On our last cruise, we had one centrally located room designated as the message center. Anyone who changed rooms was supposed to go there on the first day and leave a message on the whiteboard on the door, and the rest of the group made sure to go by and check it before delivering FE gifts. As it turned out, no one changed rooms, but it was useful for any other messages (impromptu meets, etc.). I would be happy to volunteer our door for that (our room is easy to find), but one on Deck 6 would probably be more convenient for the majority of the group.
