Greenville, SC. No, it isn't at all close to Charleston

We usually stay there when we drive up I-95. There's a really nice hotel/convention center that always comes up on Priceline. I can never remember the name, though!

Orlando, FL (since I was ~9 mos old). My DH is from Malaysia, although he's been here for over 25 years.

2. Who are you cruising with ? (friends, kids, family etc ... no need to get specific unless you want to)
It's me, my DH, DD 8, and DS 5.

3. How many cruises have you taken?
This is our second. The first was May of this year.

4. What is your fav cruise line. Explain
Um, Disney!!! It's the only one we've ever sailed

5. What activity(ies) do you most look forward to on this cruise?
The kids loved the clubs and the pool. I loved the adult-only areas and the Mai Tais! It's not often that I have "alone time"

6. Fav dining room on any ship ?
Palo and Royal Palace. I'm a fancy-schmancy kind of girl.

7. What dining room to you most look forward to on this ship?
Now that I know I can request the grand marnier souffle in the other restaurants, I'm good anywhere!

8. Fav cruise and/or vacation food?
There's something about the chicken fingers...also, I ALWAYS get a Rice Krispie treat at WDW. In Hollywood Studios, I had one shaped like a giant turkey leg

9. Any vacation "traditions"?
Staying up late and sleeping in!

10. Do you get seasick?
Nope! Thank goodness!

11. What/When was your last vacation?
We did a Dream cruise in May and then a week later did a 3-week road trip to NC, DC, and Boston. I am insane, I know.

12. Most Memorable/Fav vacation
Most memorable: Europe after undergrad--don't worry, kids, I behaved myself! Favorite: the cruise. I drank the Kool Aid.

13. Do you work, and if so what do you do?
As of May 1, I am officially a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom and I occasionally offer computer support for a private school. Previously, I was a teacher/administrator.

14. If you were given a FREE day to do whatever you wanted to - what would you do with your free time?
Sleep late, read a book, sew something for the kids, eat (in silence!), maybe do a little leisurely window shopping.

15. What is your intention posting on this roll call (ie: precruise excitement chat, meeting friends to spend time with on board, looking for people to share excursions etc ...)
Pre-cruise fun! And we love meeting new people. It would be fun to meet up for lunch/dinner or a drink in the evening. We don't do many excursions...on the other hand, if anyone has a CC cabana they want to share...

I've already enjoyed our discussions so far. It's going to be a great cruise!

We are staying at disney's port Orleans and coming in on Sunday. We will do downtown Disney on Sunday, Epcot on Monday, my kids are doing the yes program on Tuesday at Hollywood studios, then we'd is magic kingdom and Thursday animal kingdom. Friday we just decided to stay at best western cocoa beach. If u stay there you get a 40% off coupon at the port authority parking garage. We were going to park offsite, but with the coupon it ends up only being like 20-25 more and we don't have to worry about a shuttle. The day we get back from the cruise we are doing Kennedy space center. We got free tickets from our congressman. So it's a pretty busy trip. We are doing the drive (13 hrs) over 2 days. We live off exit 95, so it's a straight shot down. Do you guys have any plans before or after.

Got our room number whoop whoop 6110 my mom and one sister got there rooms today too! They didn't ask for joining rooms but they got them 8128 8126 lol kinda glad I'm on floor 6 tho close to drop off the kids

We will be neighbors!! My parents and I are in adjoining 6116&6118. I'll apologize in advance for any loud kid behavior. They are usually pretty good but they, and we, have our moments!

I haven't been talking a lot over here in this thread (I've been over in the FE thread) but I can't contain my excitement....I have to do something to pass the time....I see this and thought I would participate!

3. How many cruises have you taken? Including this one 3 disney 2 carnival

4. What is your fav cruise line. Disney....#1 reason: family....I think disney is so much more geared twd. family vs. carnival. Next....i think the food is better on disney (and added bonus of pop being included). I also just learned disney allows you to bring alcohol onboard (as far as I know no other cruise line allows that).

5. What activity(ies) do you most look forward to on this cruise? Just relaxing and making memories with my children and family

6. Fav dining room on any ship ? I'm sure fantasy is a little different than the older ships....looking fwd. to the new dining rooms but I will probably love them all.

7. What dining room to you most look forward to on this ship? Animators

8. Fav cruise and/or vacation food? Seafood and I hear there is plenty on the Fantasy

9. Any vacation "traditions"? Getting something from every place we visit that has the name on it.

I don't have any formal dresses (OK, I don't have any that fit...) and my husband rarely does anything more formal than a suit (NO tux). Last time we followed the dress code in terms of shorts/tank tops/flip flops and were fine. It was a 4-night, so no formal night. However, walking through the ship to Palo in a dress, heels, and wrap, I felt like a celebrity (albeit, a D-lister ). Almost everyone stared and commented and acted like I was the only "dressed-up" person they had seen on the ship!

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to dress up, but I was curious if anyone went "all out"! I can't imagine feeling comfortable walking around in a cocktail dress after my last experience, but maybe it's different on formal night.

My family was planning on dressing up. Both my sons already have tuxes. My oldest plays the cello and has to wear a tux for his concerts, so he is used to wearing one.
