Sephora return question

I'm hoping one of my fellow budgeters will be able to help me out here.

DD16 got a bottle of Amazing Grace eau de parfum from her grandmother for Christmas. She doesn't want to ask for the receipt so as not to hurt any feelings, but she will never use this.

I looked on Sephora's site, but I was not able to find info about returning without a receipt. Do any of you have any experience returning there without the receipt?

I received a bottle of Lemon Sugar perfume for my bday back in April. I took it with me to Sephora beacuse I know they carry it and I was able to exchange it for anything else in the store with no problems. It was, of course still in the box, still wrapped in the plastic wrap, so they would not take a loss at all. I didn't have a receipt or anything. I was surprised at how easy it was.

We'll give it a shot. This box doesn't have shrinkwrap ~ it was like that when DD unwrapped it, so hopefully it won't be an issue.

If not, there's always Ebay I guess.

I don't think the "Grace" line comes in shrink wrap. I have a bottle of Amazing Grace and a bottle of Inner Grace, granted they were the smaller $15 size, and neither came wrapped in any way. Just a carboard box.
