seperate checks/dining plan questions

My daughter and I are heading to WDW with my SIL/Niece this December. We have 2 sperate room reservations with dining plan included. We have booked all our resturants . Now my question is how does each 'couple' ( Mom/daughter) keep our dining points seperate and will we be able to have the checks seperated for each person for tipping purposes?
would prefer to just use the room charge for the tips or should we just plan to bring cash for tips?
Usually its my husband and I so not an issue but now its a mom/daughter trip (all adults) and we are just trying to figure out the little details

Yes. Just tell your server who will be on which check and they'll separate it for you. When you sign for your meal, you can either charge the tip back to your room or pay cash and since you'll be separate, you can each choose how you want to do that.
