Separate checks?

I am going with my husband on a business trip to WDW. We will be dining with my husband's co-worker and his wife.

His co-worker is insisting that we get 4 separate checks, this way it would be easier to put their business expenses in.

I was thinking that 2 separate checks would be hard enough for the restaurant server.

What are your opinions about asking for 4 separate checks? We are eating with them at Blue Zoo, Wolfgang Puck's Cafe and Shula's.

Absolutely no problem at all.

Disney servers do this all the time.

I have been a server and the happier the customer, the bigger the tip, so they should split it 4 ways with a smile!

"Well, your share of the tip is..."
"But all I had was a glass of water! You had a steak... and you think it's fair to split the tip evenly? Please!"

just make sure you tell the server that you want seperte checks at the begining. Otherwise, they have to void everything and then re-ring each check.

Actually, restaurant computers are more sophisticated now, and the server can just drag any item from the main check onto another without re-ring a thing. It's no big deal anymore.

But why 4 checks rather than 2?
