Separate Checks for restaurants but same room?

Hi everyone,

Going on a girls trip in May. There will be 4 of us sharing a room. We will not be doing the dining plan.

While enjoying a sit down dinner and asking for separate checks, will each of us be able to charge to our own Magic Band and have those charges remain separate?

If we order a bottle of wine for the table, would we be able to split the cost of that bottle 4 ways if we all already have separate checks going? Or does one person need to pay for the whole bottle and we work that out on our own?

I've looked through past threads and couldn't find the exact answer. Trying to plan my budget a bit.

You can ask your server for separate checks and each use your MB to charge. I doubt if they’d split the cost of a bottle of wine. You’ll have to Work that out yourselves.

In order for it to work, you’ll need to attach a specific credit card to each MB when you check-in at the resort. If you do not, the charges will all end up on the same account but you’ll at least be able to see who charged what since the charges will be identified by name.

In our case, it did not work, even if we specifically asked for our nephews charges to go to his own CC. The information was entered into the system by the CM, but all his charges ended up on our card anyway. Other posters mentioned in other threads that it worked for them. I guess it is not a common request and the CMs aren’t all familiar with how to set this up.
