Sep. 7, 2015 on the Dream

I'd like to ask a question about tickets to Magic Kingdom. We have been twice with the girls. We've always gone in November. Never bought tickets in advance and never stayed on property. We've never done fast pass or magic bands.

We are planning to go on Sunday, Sept 6th. My plan was to do like normal and just walk up to buy our tickets. If we take that approach we won't have any Fast Pass reservations, etc. Am I making a mistake? Never been in Sept. so not sure what to expect for crowds.

If we buy tickets in advance, do they mail them to you? How does that work? Can you make fast pass reservations off of a single day ticket?

We are staying off property as well.

I completely agree can you imagine disappointed little girls if they thought they were going to visit the boutique? Thanks for clarifying!
That's why I was asking because I didn't want to tell my daughter and get her excited for nothing :guilty:

Keep in mind that it is Memorial Day weekend. I imagine the crowds would be condsiderably higher than other September weekends.

If you need any help with the Prosecco or champagne, let me know. My husband would rather drink seawater than that.:flower3::drinking::rolleyes1

Will do ;) We actually had the opposite situation-when I first started dating my husband he enjoyed wine and I didn't! He started me on the typical progression I guess-sweet wines like Riesling and Moscato until I graduated to Cabs and Merlot. I love a good wine :)

It is delightful. At least the kinds I've had. It's not as dry as champagne. Think of a Moscato champagne. Bubbly, light and delicious!

Agree :) We always have a few quarter bottles in the wine fridge so we can enjoy a glass without having to drink an entire bottle, which is what made me think to bring it to enjoy with cheese on the ship ;) Villa Jolanda is sold everywhere around us so that is my go to. Wonderful little inexpensive bubbly-I can get 3 quarter bottles for $12!

Do you have a My Disney Experience (MDE) account? If not set one up on the WDW website. All you have to do then is purchase tickets through the Disney website. The tickets should automatically link to your My Disney Experience Account. If they don't then you can link them to your account with the number for the tickets. You could also call in and purchase the tickets over the phone. You need to do this all before the 30 day mark. 30 days out from your check in date you can do your FPs. The time is 12am EST. You would definitely want to do this if you want to ride 7DMT. Other rides that are good use of FP are Splash Mtn, Space Mtn, Thunder Mtn., Peter Pan. Remember that you will have the chance to meet the characters on the cruise so you might not want to use FPs for those. It's all very easy and can make your trip so much easier. I think when you get to the MK you will then have to pick up your actual tickets at Will Call. You might want to call and ask about that. We are always on property and have Magic bands so I'm not for sure.

Well wish me luck!! One of my co-workers broke his wrist and I have volunteered to work full time :scared1: This is going to be interesting to say the least. I will be working my normal 12-8:30 shifts 3 days a week, but coming in at like 9 instead. Then on the other 2 days I will be working a 6-2:30. We'll see how this works. I know Joe and Melissa work a crazy amount of hours, but I stick to my 24 hours per week. This is going to be a little bit of a shell shock!! Off to work I go!

Good luck!!!! I pretty much stick to my 24 hours a week, too. Troy is the OT worker over here, LOL!!

I have never bought my tickets online either - always just shown up. I didn't even know about the online fast pass selection or anything else until more recently.

If you are really set on certain rides then it might be worth doing as suggested and buying online so that you have that perk.

So I was finally able to get a reservation at Ohana for breakfast.....has anyone done the character breakfast there? Was it good? Last time we went to Disney we ate at the castle breakfast with the princesses for my daughter. This time I wanted something geared toward my son

I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and try this fancy way :flower1:
