I just ordered all of my Disney gift cards so I can get my cruise paid off!! Paid $2612 for $3000 worth of Disney gift cards, Then I will get $57 cash back, and then points towards next years flights on my credit card!! Woohoo!! Learned how to do it over with Voldemort

I wish I had opened the Disney Vacation Savings Account up early enough, but I didn't get it done Missing out on $40. Ive saved enough to pay for 1.5 of our season passes

That's a good way of looking at it. I have to show my wife how I saved money by doing the points for gift card because she doesn't care she would just rather pay a TA to do everything. So is it fair to order the everything and kitchen sink from Beaches and Cream and say sorry I saved the money for this, and say look over there your TA is eating one too.

Been there, got a knock off coach purse once surprising it lasted pretty long. The locals were pretty bad the last time I went there.

yes they can be quite pushy to get you to buy from them; for a lot of people this can be a major turn off, but for the most part we tuned people out. It can be a good place to buy people back home cheap trinkets (or some a little more pricy). Also you shouldn't have a problem finding it. You would probably have a harder time trying to avoid it!

Yes!I forgot about that. Haggling, not something the most people do, but that is definitely the game here... this is were my wife shines, she ain't afraid to ask for a lower price if she feels it's too high.

In regards to your names with the FE....It is very common and for most part people do put their name and cabin numbers on the tags. It let's them know who the gifts are from. Others just like to keep track with the list and the gifts. It is up to you though. I have always tagged ours and the ones we received had tags from who there were from

Ok you guys i need your suggestions, especially you Floridians!! So we are driving the 16 hours from Katy, TX to Port Canaveral. BUT, we are breaking the trip up by leaving Saturday morning before the sail date, spending the night in Mobile, AL. Driving the rest of the way on Sunday and staying at a hotel just two miles from the terminal which offers a park-n-cruise and having transport to the terminal via the hotels service. Here's my dilemma... Because we have to get back to Katy Sunday, we were going to try to make way asap towards home and do something along the way. We were originally thinking of going to Destin to The Big Kahuna but at that point, the waterparks won't be open for even weekend fun. So... Idk what to do. Tossing up Panama City or possibly Daytona. There again, we want to do something fun but since we aren't familiar with the areas, we havent a clue. Any suggestions?? Thanks y'all!!

Side note, do any othe the FE gifts HAVE to be personalized? I saw Jasesmom was doing that and I am not. But I am doing a lot of handmade stuff. Now I feel bad and I'm rethinking my gifts...

Going back home will be a different story, though, because we get into port so early that day. I was told that Pensacola is a good place to stop overnight, but I haven't figured out if that is what we will do or not. I started a trip plan on roadtrippers, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of things to do around the midpoint of our drive
Personalizing gifts is totally your choice, and don't feel bad or pressured to do it. The adult gifts I am making and personalizing, but most of the kids gifts I am not. Just depends on what I end up doing. I have ideas for the kids, but nothing set in stone yet. It was so easy for me to come up with an adult gift, but I am struggling with the kids. Totally opposite of what I was expecting!

Girl, i am up in arms about what to do for the hubby's and boys. I got it nailed for the girls and mama's, i think. Thing is, trying to think outside the box. Lol! I got craft stuff ALL OVER THE PLACE and my husband keeps asking WTH I am doing with it all. I've given up trying to explain it, i just say it's for the cruise. He rolls his eyes and goes on about his business.

Booked a place in/near Panama City Beach just a little while ago. Looks like a nice place to stay with lots of "out of the ordinary" things plus it's a beachfront property so there's always that.
