Sensing Pixie Dust I Am! A Star Wars Weekend PTR! New PTR Link pg. 77!

I thought of Chelsea yesterday when a friend of mine posted pics of her daughter headed out to their 8th grade formal...she was dressed like she was ready to go clubbing :scared1:

It made me glad I know people who recognize what is age appropriate for their daughters!!

Oh, goodness! I can only imagine! Or maybe I don't want to! ;)

You should have seen how some of the girls were dressed at Justin's basketball banquet last weekend! Don just looked at me and said, "I'm glad I don't have a daughter". I told him if we did she wouldn't be dressed like that!

Your comment to Don hit the nail on the head. At this age, it is all about what the parents will allow. My feeling is that as long as I am buying the clothes, I will approve of them. ;)

I was shocked the other day when I picked up Jared at school, I saw a 6th grade girl who was wearing the equivilent of the naughty Catholic school girl outfit - super short skirt, plunging v-neck shirt and knee high boots - 6th grade, I kid you not :sad2:

 Yikes! We have a pretty stiff dress code at our school. If kids show up in clothes that are against it, they sit in ISS until someone can bring them more appropriate clothes.

Oh wow, Chelsea’s dress is gorgeous and she looks great in it! I had a similar experience with my daughter when shopping for her Father/Daughter dance. She and I seemed to fall in love with the same dress, but I knew that she would second guess it if I gushed over it :lmao: I was so happy when she chose the dress that not only flattered her the most but that I liked the most LOL. Anyway, I think you are going to have to invest in a baseball bat to keep the boys away from Chelsea

Thanks! Yes, that is exactly the way Chelsea and I are -- it was such a relief when the dress she loved was one I loved as well!

what a great dress!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Okay- so I stumbled upon more art work for Connor's room:
This may be the smallest image ever, but...

it is $17 and they have others too -

Cute!!! That would go with Connor's room perfectly! The colors are exactly right! I will have to head over to Walmart's website and look!

Hi, Julie! We go tomorrow to the orthopedic doctor to see what she says about Chelsea's scoliosis and knees. I hope we get some answers.

Awww! Chelsea looks absolutely gorgeous in her dress! It's so pretty!

Thank you! She is so excited about the dance.

I sure wish we still had ISS. It is so badly needed for some of our kids. Going home is a treat, so they enjoy being suspended. ISS is not fun. We had money to fund an ISS person (not a teacher, but a sub, so sub pay) for a couple of years, and it was a very good thing.

Our system has a uniform dress code - solid dark or khaki pants or shorts and solid-colored polos. I won't say everyone follows it exactly, but it definitely helps.

Hope you guys have a nice Easter Sunday! :)

I hope everything goes well at the doctor tomorrow. I will be saying prayers.

Will be thinking of you guys tomorrow as you visit the doctor! I hope he/she is able to give you the answers you are looking for and some comfort to Chelsea!! Will be saying prayers!

I will be praying for you at the Dr's tomorrow. I had really bad growing pains when I was a kid so I know how painful they can be.

Finally catching up! Please do not close this thread. I love to read it even if I do not get to comment that often.
I love Chelsea's dress! It is adorable. I had the same problem in high school with being teeny tiny. I wore Jessica McClintock also.
I love Connor's pictures! I ordered a ton of Disney prints from art.com and framed them with cheap black frames for our playroom. They are adorable.
I hope all goes well at the doctor today!

Hey Jackie!
Just wondering how things went at Chelsea's appointment.
When you have a moment please update....:flower3:

I haven't posted on your thread since early January so bare with me as I try to catch up...

Your ADRs look exciting, I've always wanted to eat at GF Cafe.

In my two years of living in a snowy climate I have never heard thunder snow, it would probably freak me out too.

I like Chelsea's essentials kit, Nutella is a nice touch

Thank you for the Star Wars Primer because I definitely wasn't a Star Wars expert.

Chelsea's chocolate meringue pie looks delicious.

I always like hearing about your trip binder, I hope one day I get to plan one out.

Lots of fun Dis Meets

aww, sorry to hear that you had to cancel your Disney trip. I feel silly for even posting my catch-up post but I look forward to seeing your pictures on FB.

Chelsea's dress is very cute, love the flower.

How did Chelsea's doctor appointment go?

Thinking about you this morning Jackie. Seeing all the tornadoes in the South is so scary. I hope everything is ok with you.
