Sensing Pixie Dust I Am! A Star Wars Weekend PTR! New PTR Link pg. 77!

I was so terrified of this possibility that I made my dad write a sign to post in the basement that I dictated to him.

It read something like this:

“No Star Wars characters allowed in this basement. Well, except the good guys. No Stormtroopers or Darth Vader are allowed.”

This is adorable! I can just picture it!!!

Great binder, I'm glad to see you and Darth have made some amends through time. ;)

Oh my word! This RULES! I love it!!!!!!! If you find her you know you have to do her hair in the Luna Loops and post a pic!! :hyper:

Very nice, and so organized, binder! :thumbsup2 I am a big fan of that coffee list!

Those are quite some hairstyles on the side of the Princess Leia Doll box! :lmao:

Your binder looks beautiful, already filled with lots of Disney goodies.

LOVE the Leia doll......I have never seen one like that at all!!! I love how you can do the hair in SO many different ways!!!

Did you LOVE the VW commercial during the Super Bowl as much as I did?!??!?! That kid was so freaking cute!!!! :)

How do I get those pretty colored maps of the resorts? I want to print out one for AKL like that....both Jambo House and Kidani Village.

I think I may just have to go make my own little Trip Binder....you have SO inspired me!!! :)

Cool binder. I really need a copy of those drinks around the world.

Princess Leia - she was so pretty back then and I look at her Carrie Fischer now and it totally ruins the illusion. How the heck did that happen?????

I love your Leia quotes. Heard them all!

I might have to copy some of the items that you typed up. I too want to know where you got the pictures of the maps?
Your binder looks great!

Oh Jackie do I have a picture for you!!!! I of course had to go through the Star Wars gift shop and I found the perfect shirt! It had Minnie Leia and a wookie with the saying I'd Just As Soon Kiss a Wookie and it was pink LOL!!! I was so tempted to get it!!! All I have to say is if it is there the next time I go it will be mine!! Loved it!!! Definitely was a Princess Leia fan!!!!

Oh my goodness! What a great shirt! I can't wait to see the picture! I have been looking for the perfect shirt for our DHS day!

Love your binder!! Glad to see there is actually something in there :rotfl: LOL so I've always been curious where you can get OK coffee at Disney, now I know!! WOOT WOOT!!

Great update!! Hope you have a great week Jackie!!!!

We love our coffee and sadly, Disney does not have a lot of quality coffee in the parks.

Ooooooo....

Ahhhhhhh...

Love the inside of the binder just as much as the outside. :thumbsup2

I idolized Princess Leia too. I wore my hair in the traditional "Star Puffs" style at least once or twice. I'm jealous of your Leia doll... I love how the box has hairstyle instructions. :rotfl:

Thanks, Amy! I remember begging my mom to do my hair in Star Puffs, too! I always thought I was extra special when she did it. LOL!

Wow!!! What a lovely binder :worship: Love it!!

As I was scrolling down through your pictures of Princess Leia staring dreamily at her kiss with Hans...then the next is a scary pez head!!!! :scared1: Am I the only one who thinks that is frightening?!! Yikes!!!

Tracy

:lmao: I was going for the shock factor on the Pez. :rotfl2:

NOPE. I agree... :scared: Almost as bad as the "Mater teeth" lollipops!

OH, and I was Princess Leia for halloween one year.... I vaguely recall my mother pinning my hair into braided buns!!

Oh, you must find a picture of you as Princess Leia at Halloween.

Do you remember Underoos? I had a set of Princess Leia ones! I hadn't even thought of those until this morning while I was doing replies.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you could skip this chapter and maneuver your way there and around blindfolded. ;)

Quite possibly. I do like the security of knowing I have a map of the complex. Just in case, I forget. :lmao:

I love your binder, it's so organized! :goodvibes

Thanks! I always like putting together the trip binder.

Yes- I always did want to be Princess Leia!

The binder is awesome. Care to share the list of good drinks and good coffee more up close?:goodvibes

Sure, I will take a close up pic soon! :thumbsup2

I love your binder! So organized!

I'm not going to lie, I laughed out loud when I saw "where to get OK coffee" :lmao: I'm a weirdo (or just a typical New Englander) and I drink Dunkin Donuts french vanilla ICED coffee year round. I drink hot coffee if I have no other choice, but I don't even bother with coffee in Disney anymore, I just drink soda for my caffeine fix!

Thanks! Our favorite coffee drinks at Disney are the frozen cappuccinos. Those are quite tasty.

No, Tracy, I'm right there with ya - it is creepy looking!

I couldn't resist showing that Pez dispenser. LOL!

Jackie, I love that you still have the box from your Princess Leia doll. The different hair styles are a hoot too! :lmao:

Thanks for opening the binder, love it!

I remember my mom saying, "Don't take her hair down," but you know, I just couldn't resist doing it and then trying out the hairstyles. Needless to say, mine didn't look like the pictures on the box. LOL!

hmmmn. Do you rank the coffee? I mean it could fall into several categories.

Hot brown and warm
Ok
Really really good

:rotfl:

Most of it is abysmal at Disney, but we have found our favorites: the forzen cappuccinos, the Kona coffee at the Polynesian, and the Kenyan coffee at Boma. :lovestruc

Lunar loops! In my wildest dreams my hair would never do that but how fun is that. I hope she turns up. Leia as a pez is a bit creepy but then again, most pez containers are.

My hair would never do that, either. :sad2: I still haven't found Leia. She is really hiding, I guess.

Yes, the Princess Leia Pez is one of my creepier Star Wars things. LOL!

I love all of the hairstyles for Princess Leia.

You are one organized trip planner!
When does Disney usually release SWW info?

Thanks! There has been some information about SWW coming out in the past week. They have released dates, said a little bit about the guest stars who will be there, and hinted about the new ride. Very exciting stuff that I am saving up for future updates.

I had the same doll but had forgotten all about her until I saw the box! Those hairstyles were something, weren't they? I don't think I was ever able to style it back into the original buns. :sad2:

Too funny that you had her, too, Christine! My mom told me not to take Leia's hair down, but I did anyway. It never looked the same again. I went over on ebay to see if they had any of the dolls. Do you know what a MIB doll runs for??? $500!!! Guess there are a lot of SW fans out there!

Binder looks great. Your organization is impressive!

Thanks!

Yes, I did see that & called DH in to check out the blog update.

Question for you, since you've been to SWW in the past, right? Touring plans tells you that people start lining up at the gates overnight for rope drop. is that right? that is sort of freaking me out and making me much less excited for SWW (DH & I don't do crowds well). Tell me it isn't so!

That's just if you want any of the autographs, and I think it depends on who is there. I imagine the bigger names have people lining up extra early. When we went, we showed up like it was a normal rope drop. None of that crazy middle-of-the-night stuff for us.

DSIL gave us a blue ray player for Christmas 2 yrs ago. We have a few blue rays, not many. (Wall-E, Cloud w a chance of meatballs, up! can't remember what the other is) The picture is a bit more clear...if you have a huge tv its probably awesome, but we have ours hooked up to a 42" ---its not breathtakingly different. I would not have purchased one myself, though now that we have it I do buy the Blue ray combos if there is a movie that I HAVE TO HAVE (not often)

One of these days we will get one -- it hasn't become a necessity yet.

I love your binder -- and the where to get good coffee. is that a Disboards or an Allears post?? it looks familiar. I finally put some stuff in our binder over the weekend too. I have been pacing myself till May.

I found it on Allears. :thumbsup2

I'm with you. I'm happy to be Princess Leia if it means I get to kiss Han Solo.

Dang skippy. :lmao:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

My sentiments exactly!

Cute update! :) I can definitely see the resemblance between you and Princess Leia. :)

Ah, you made my day, Kelli! :goodvibes

Love your binder, I do the same thing for every trip that we take. Mine is much more casually done. I don't print out stuff on the computer, I do it the old fashioned way, I write it in long:rolleyes1hand. I have to do that way because I make so many additions & corrections as I go along with my lists.

I do like your drink list, that's pretty cool.:woohoo:

I love everything looking nice and pretty in my binder. :thumbsup2

Lovely binder!

The Princess Leia hairstyles crack me up! Lunar Loops! :lmao:

So 1970's, aren't they?

This is adorable! I can just picture it!!!

It was the only way I would go back to the basement to play.

Great binder, I'm glad to see you and Darth have made some amends through time. ;)

He's still not my favorite guy by any means. LOL!

Oh my word! This RULES! I love it!!!!!!! If you find her you know you have to do her hair in the Luna Loops and post a pic!! :hyper:

:lmao: You know I would have to try it just for old times sake. LOL!

Very nice, and so organized, binder! :thumbsup2 I am a big fan of that coffee list!

It is almost like a scavenger hunt to find good coffee at Disney.

Those are quite some hairstyles on the side of the Princess Leia Doll box! :lmao:

Your binder looks beautiful, already filled with lots of Disney goodies.

The height of space galaxy fashion, I am sure!

My binder is always my pride and joy. ;)

LOVE the Leia doll......I have never seen one like that at all!!! I love how you can do the hair in SO many different ways!!!

Shockingly, my doll's hairstyles never quite looked like that.

Did you LOVE the VW commercial during the Super Bowl as much as I did?!??!?! That kid was so freaking cute!!!! :)

Yes!!! It was my favorite commercial, and then, I turned to Charles and said, "I want a Passat." LOL!

How do I get those pretty colored maps of the resorts? I want to print out one for AKL like that....both Jambo House and Kidani Village.

I printed them from wdwinfo.

Here is the link to all of them:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/

I think I may just have to go make my own little Trip Binder....you have SO inspired me!!! :)

You could have a lot of fun decorating your binder with an African theme! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 on the binder!

Thanks, Jill!

Love the Princess Leia doll and all of her possible hair dos. :rotfl:

That box cracks me up -- especially that Star Puffs is copyrighted. Who knew? LOL!

Cool binder. I really need a copy of those drinks around the world.

I found it on someone's DISign thread here. I will take a close up of it soon.

Princess Leia - she was so pretty back then and I look at her Carrie Fischer now and it totally ruins the illusion. How the heck did that happen?????

Poor Carrie did not age well. :sad2:

I love your Leia quotes. Heard them all!

There were so many great lines to choose from!

Are you still plannig on getting APs this trip? popcorn::

Maybe. We'll see how our finances are closer to the trip. It seems like there is always something that needs our attention more. :(

I might have to copy some of the items that you typed up. I too want to know where you got the pictures of the maps?
Your binder looks great!

Thanks! I found the maps on wdwinfo.

I posted the link up above. :thumbsup2

Maybe. We'll see how our finances are closer to the trip. It seems like there is always something that needs our attention more. :(

I hate when reality gets in the way of WDW trips. :sad2:

We've decided to buy APs every other year so they over 2 summer trips. Our APs expire August 22nd at midnight and we check out the 23rd. I'm hoping I can stay away form Disney until August 2012. Not sure if that's going to happen. :confused3

I have the where to get real coffee section too!

You need a new section...what hairdo to wear on which day...you and Chelsea need to work on that! :lmao:

Thanks for the feedback on SWW rope drop. we were getting a little anxious about that. We just decided to go for rope drop on Friday, then stay until the crowds annoy us. We have ADR's at both 50's prime time at DHS and also at Kouzzina at DBI -- this way we will have dinner covered whether we are in the park or not. Actually, I am really really leaning toward heading over to DBI for dinner. LOVE the menu online and think once he got there DH (and of course DD) would love the Boardwalk theme.

The blu ray is pretty cool for watching action movies, not much difference for chick flicks. We like ours a lot,:goodvibes

I love the binder. I'm always impressed with people's binders on the DIS. I always thought that I was organized with my folder.

I do love your drink list. I have a similar list on all trips! LOL.

She was feisty.
"I don't know who you are or where you've come from, but from now on you'll do as I say, okay?"

She was sarcastic.
"Would it help if I got out and pushed?"

She was strong-willed.
"I'd just as soon kiss a Wookiee."

She never seemed to be scared of Darth Vader.
"Darth Vader. Only you could be so bold."

She was a princess.

And the clincher, she got to kiss Han Solo.

I loved Princess Leia for the same reasons. She was just cool! Oh, and I'm glad you were going for "shock factor" with her Pez dispenser because I agreed with everyone else that it was super creepy! :lmao: The doll was awesome, though.

Your trip binder is very thorough! I love it! :thumbsup2 Of course, since I'm currently obsessed with my packing list, I had to cross check it with yours! :rotfl: An umbrella? How could I not think of that? Scissors? Of course! Thanks for sharing :goodvibes

Great job on the binder Jackie.

I have a little notebook that I hand write things in & index cards for each day with our ADR's & park hours written on them. That's about as detailed as I get.:)

Hi, I came over this morning to catch up....I have to say thank you for putting in the links to the updates... so helpful! :thumbsup2

I toyed with the idea of going the same time as you, last fall.
Free dining is great, your going to love it!

My DD wants to go for a Star Wars Weekend sometime ???
Not sure why because she hasn't seen any of the movies yet...that I know of...:rotfl:

I'm sure you would shudder at the fact that I only have the VHS versions.

Lexi is looking forward to the new revamped SW ride this year.
(it kinda makes my stomach turn a little but I go on and make the best of it for her) ;)

As a child of the 70's I remember the Star Wars craze!
My nephews (we are very close in age) and I would play with the figures for hours.
Together we had all the playsets and vehicles.
My favorites were Princess Leia, Yoda and "Chewy" as I called him...:rotfl2:
They had those sheets too!

It's funny to think back to those years.
We played with Star Wars, GiJoe, Army men, Super Heroes, Barbies, Dolls, had tea parties and played Dress up.
Who knew we were so well rounded back then. Especially the boys! :lmao:

Love your Trip Binder...you always do a great job!

Thanks for the link to the colored maps. I was wanting one for POFQ. :)

Can't wait to read all about what fun you get into. You have so much fun on your trips together.

I'm looking forward to meeting you for New Years Eve!

Just thought I would come over and congratulate the soccer team on the big win, for those who aren't on Facebook and might not know about it. :cheer2:
Good start to the season!
