Seniors

Oh, I had a senior moment. I forgot to say we'd be celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary.

bump, for couples in their 50's and going, without kids!'' going in late april early may. can't wait to see which bands are playing;.. wish they weren't only on the weekends!!

Well, this thread is so freaking me out. Okay, so I'm going to be 55 in May (heading to WDW in March). To quote the sticker on my fridge: I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

I'm going to hold off on that "senior" title for another 10 or 15 years though(maybe 20...25), I think.

We're 58 and 59 years young, retired but not Seniors yet. We may never be Seniors, just like Peter Pan we'll never grow up! We come down to FL about 5-6 times a year for about a month and go to the 4 parks about 4 days a week. The rest of the time we go to those other parks ;), to Downtown Disney, Quest, the water parks and outlet mall shopping.

Just like us WDW never ever gets OLD, no matter how many times you visit. :cool1:

Here you go:

* Jose Feliciano March 5-7
* Paul Revere and the Raiders March 12-14
* David Cassidy March 19-21
* Starship Starring Mickey Thomas March 26-28
* Tony Orlando April 2-4
* Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone April 9-11
* The Nelsons April 16-18
* Atlanta Rhythm Section April 23-25
* Fran Cosmo(former lead singer of Boston) April 30-May 2
* Davy Jones May 7-9
* Chubby Checker & The Wildcats May 14-16

DW is 51, I am 55, and we go 2 times/yr for F&G and F&W. Every other yr in mid Dec for DW's birthday, so we can also enjoy the decorations, candlelight processional, and Osborne lights. Spend 90% of our time at Epcot, so we purchased DVC at BWV. Last trip with kids was 1-07, but may let them join us for F&W 2011:)

My husband and I are both in our 60's but are very young at heart. We are big Disney fans and spend several months in FL. We bought a manufactured home about 1 hour from Disney and have been there too many times to count. We did the Disney Panama Canal cruise and now we are going on the Disney Eastbound Transatlantic Cruise and the continuing Mediterrean cruise. The cruise - like WDW is NOT ONLY for kids. We have cruised on other lines and once you do Disney nothing can come up to their standards.
I think there is a need for a thread for couples whose children are grown and love Disney.

Now that the marathon is over, and DH did do the 5K walk with DSis and both now are planning to do the 1/2 marathon in 2012!:)

My next visit is in March, a long week from March 20 through the 28th...will be enjoying David Cassidy and Starship:daisy:Is anyone interested in doing the Gardens of the World tour during that week, if they have it? I enjoyed it last year, a DCuz did it with me, but she's not going with me this year.

Bobbi:goodvibes

thanks so much!!!! darn it! we are leaving before Davy Jones!!!:rotfl: the first time we saw him at Epcot, they were showing 3 bands a week. he was there, so we thought, " oh well, why not?" ... boy were WE pleasantly surprised!!! he has true showmanship.!! so we saw him again the next year. .. if you are there when he is.. don't miss it!
guess it's boston for us. let's see.. "more than a feeling"....not exactly what I would call a "FLOWER POWER" band, but any free concert is great.

lately we like to plan non-park time. In august, we stayed 3 nights at Royal Pacific (universal) and got a free upgrade to a king suite!!:banana:. then we transferred over to Disney, and had 3 nights at CBR...get this.. without park tickets!!! just top relax and enjoy the resort! we rented bikes, wwent to downtown disney, and alternated time between the quiet pool and the main pool. then we went to pop century and free dining!!!
in late April, early May we do a split stay Riverside/FQ, with 3 no planned days. one resort day at each resort, and one "transfer day". ah! relaxation! (of course, both resorts have boat access to DTD)

We enjoy listening to Off Kilter and Mo'Rockin every visit, but the F&G/F&W concerts make the evenings even more special. When they eliminated the weekday concerts last year for F&G, we decided to replace with dinners at restaurants we had never tried before. Last year it was Spoodles, Cali Grill, and Yachtsman. This year we have ADR's for Citricos and Flying Fish.

Can't wait to see the concert lineup for F&W. We normally go for 5 nights, but this year we'll be there 10-29 to 11-7. Food booths, concerts, "the ditch"(tequila bar in Mexico pavillion), and Illuminations......"Adult Disney"!!

We love Disney also!! DINKs. I'm 53 and DH is 66. We feel like kids again at the parks and cant wait to go this winter. YIPPEE!:wizard::love:

I'll be there Dec 4 - 10. I'm thinking of doing MVMCP, too. I did it a couple of years ago and thought it was fun.
My first Christmas-time trip was back in 2008. Now, it's my preferred time to go.

Our first trip without kids will be 3/18-3/25; then 3 nights on the Wonder to Bahamas (our first cruise!):yay: We are 58 and 59; DH is not as big a disney freak as I am, so we will not be doing parks every day. Got some great tips from reading this thread. Thanks, Everyone!!!
