Does Disney still send packages back to your room that you purchase in the parks? How long does it take? Is there a fee? And when is the last time you can do it based on your check out day?

Yes, they do send packages back to your room yet. It takes a good 24 hours at least..if not longer.

It took a day for our packages to get back to the resort. It doesn't go to your room, but to the gift shop in your resort.

We had one problem that was cleared up nicely. DH had gotten me a surprise present from a gift shop at the Contemporary and had it sent to our resort, but it never made it The manager of that gift shop personally delivered it to our resort once it was brought to his attention. We were so impressed.

Like Marseeya said, packages are send to the gift shop at your resort, and you pick them up there. You can have things sent back up til the day before you check out - if you're checking out Friday, you couldn't have packages sent back on Thursday, since they may not get there in time.

You have to fill out a form with your room info etc on it & it'll be delivered to your gift shop. You P/U from the gift shop and they'll call and leave you a message in your room when it's there. It's awesome because if you buy anything breakable or big or even if you're afraid it would get stolen..you won't hae to worry about it. I do it all the time when I am there. I think the last time you can do it is either the day before you check out or 2 days before you check out.

Yes they do send packages to the shop in your resort.

I don't recall how long it takes, but ask a CM.

Before you purchase your items, make sure to mention to a CM that you want your package sent to either the front of the park or your resort. There is a special form you and they have to fill out. (Takes about a minute, but they process it through a computer).

It is free.

Personally, I would not send my packages to the resort on the last day. However, on my last trip (just as usual) I sent the packages to the front of the park on my last day. That way I didn't have to worry about it getting to the resort, but I didn't have to hold onto it either.

If you really want, you can also send a package home (that, of course, has a fee).

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please do ask! :)

We were told to stop sending packages to the resort the day before you leave because it may not make it. I would recommend maybe a day before that. We had a lot of stuff arrive the late afternoon before we left (some of it was a day later than expected). Many of the items were damaged in the process. We went through and tried to pick which ones we didn't mind being damaged. Finally, we narrowed it down to two things - a collector's Star Wars item and some art from the art of Disney. A CM had to go back to MGM and Downtown Disney to exchange the items and we didn't get them back to us until almost 10 that night. And we had to get up at 4 the next mornig to fly home. That was cutting it too close! It never occured to me that things might get damaged on the way to us.

Ok, it's free to send pkgs to your resort or to the front of the park and I understand that there is a fee to send to your home. Has anyone sent pkgs home and how long did it take?

I do not like to use this service....I have my shopping down to an art form!!! and I like to "play" with what ever I got when I get back to my room!!!
