They still have it on disneyshopping.com! They also had one that read something like 'Shoes can change your life' with the same rhinestone slipper, but they only had it in a small...too small for me I think! IT would have been perfect since I LOVE shoes!

A Few Points:
1. Violet is adorable! It must be nice to have her around when your husband is away.
2. Your wedding pictures are great....you looked stunning that day!
3. I am sorry that your husband will be away for so long, but it sounds like you are making the very best of it. He is doing a wonderful thing for his country and I know we all appreciate it.

I can't believe I forgot to put the Segway tour into the plans. Peg booked Segways tours as a surprise for my dad and Tony early in the morning on August 13 (the day before we leave). We are SO excited to surprise them with this! It will be birthday gifts for both of them. They are going to flip!

They will be taking the tours at 7:30 am (I think) at Epcot. Has anyone done this before? Any advice? How was it???

I was just looking at your report again and I noticed that adorable shirt (how did I miss it the first time....probably because I was doing six things at ones... ) It is so cute, it made me go and take a look at disneyshopping.com to see if there is anything else I should get before my trip. I might head over to the Disney Store in the mall today, since they are having some great sales. All three that are close to me are closing. I don't understand it!!!

I am so glad you have decided to go to WDW even though your DH won't be able to join you. I know it's tough to remember to enjoy life's blessings when you are missing your hubby! But I think you are doing the right thing.

I thought I'd make a list of the items I/we still have to purchase or find in the depths of our 'moved twice in one year thanks to the Army' house...

- find a cute hat to keep the sun off my face (although last year, I didn't bring one and I was fine

- buy new BIG sunglasses...I think I forgot to mention that I love, love, love BIG sunglasses....as evidenced by the photo below (don't mind the maniac hound behind my head...)

- purchase a new digital camera...I was looking at a few today and I am hoping to stay in the $150-180 range. I need to do some more research before I purchase one

- find a nice, compact water bottle to fit in my VB hipster bag

- sunblock

- pick up a new Pelican box...DH had a few military issued waterproof boxes last year for our trip, and they were a lifesaver! They look like this. I was able to fit my camera, cell phone, and a few other odds and ends in it.

- My laptop....I hate the idea of spending $9.99 a day for internet in our room, but I think I would go insane not being able to email DH while we are there. We do get to talk once a day on the phone usually, but I think it would just kill me without the email. This way, I can also send DH photos the day I take them too.

- Spare cell phone charger

- IPod for the plane

- WDW pins from last year. I don't plan on trading them, but I'd like to have them with me. I'll load photos of them later this week. We got some really cool ones from CM's.

- Of course, our touring plans!

-cheap rain ponchos! Our last night at WDW last year, they saved us from a miserable night at Epcot...Well the ponchos and the drinks!

(Wow, was his wedding band still shiny! )

Thanks for the props on taking the trip without him. It's tough to do things with him away, but thankfully he's so great about it! He doesn't want me to stop my life while he's away. He also understands that having things to look forward to make the time pass so much faster! Hopefully, we'll be able to take a trip together next fall and we can look forward to that together!

I can't believe how little time we actually have! I have to get started on my daily letters to DH since I'll need to get them in the mail next week!

IS IT AUGUST 8 YET?!?!!??!
I am DYING!!!!

Work is just draggggggging today, and I am listening to Subsonic Disney Radio. I just want to be RIDING Pirates and sitting IN the Tiki room not listening to them! I was just talking to DH on IM, and even he is stoked about our trip...(Wow...did I really just use the word stoked??? )

At least I have Subsonic to get me through the day! Although, I think my office mates thinks I'm insane. Not much Disney magic around this office...Boo hoo! They just don't get it...

I figured since I'm in a Disney mood I'd load a few more photos of our trip last summer and live vicariously through them for the time being:

Postcard from Mickey and Minnie
I found a website online that will send a postcard with your own photo and wording free of cost. I loaded one of my photos of Main Street from last year and send it to S1 and S2 from Mickey and Minnie. This is what I wrote:

Are you getting ready for your big trip? We can't wait to see you! Get your walking shoes on and gets lots of rest! See ya real soon!

Cindy's for Dinner
Unfortunately, we won't be dining at Cindy's this year, but that's alright by me because it will be my special thing with DH. I just thought I'd give my 2 cents on our experience last year.

We LOVED it! We went for dinner to celebrate being newlyweds, and it was just perfect. I didn't have high expectations for the food, but it was magnificent! We will definitely be going back next time DH and I go. We had a window seat so we looked out over Fantasyland, and it was just perfect!

The window we sat below had a crest that was almost identical to the crest DH's unit wears! Go figure!

Love your trip report. We get into POR on the 13th. I love walking down to POFQ but still trying to convince my boyfriend he will love it there too.

Do you know if (and where) we can send pkg to an APO address while at Disney? We have 2 "adopted" soldiers and I would like to send them out a little something. I am only planning on one suitcase so I don't think I will have room to bring stuff home and mail it from here.

Amy, that is a great thought! I never even thought about where to send a package while I am there. I will call on my lunch break today and see what I can found out. I know I will have WAY too much stuff to bring it all home and send it from here!

And by the way, thank you for adopting a few soldiers. I know there are so many soldiers over there who get very little, and it means the world to them I am sure!

Alright so I called 407-WDISNEY about shipping, and they directed me to the resort directly at 407-934-5000. I called and spoke with a man about the package centers in most of the resorts.

There is a package center at POFQ, but they do not have shipping supplies. He also noted that I will need to bring my own postage. It sounds like you can ship items UPS or USPS. (For an APO/FPO, it will have to be USPS.)

Unfortunately, the info wasn't as helpful as I had hoped, but we shall see when we get there!

For now, I am going to visit www.usps.com and investigate how to print of postage from there site. The major problem will be finding a box to ship since I can't fit a flat rate mailer in my suitcase! Shoot!

Can't you ship items directly from the stores in the parks directly, or not? Are there any postal centers at DTD???

I wish this wasn't so complicated because I know I will be purchasing him way too much to bring it all home with me!

Well Peg, Tony, S1 and S2 should be riding in their limo to POFQ as I type this!!! So exciting!!!! The kids are just going to FLIP!

In 36 hours, Mom, Dad, and I will be snuggled into our cozy beds sleeping tightly until that 6:00 alarm sounds to head to MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!!

I don't work on Fridays so tomorrow morning will be spent packing the last minute things, taking the Princess to the vet , picking up the house and running a few errands.

Unfortunately, DH is traveling 'over there' within the country this week so my fabulous Disney care package won't even get into his possession until Tuesday. Boo hoo! I worked SO hard on that package writing letters for each day we're in the parks, buying trivia books so he can feel included, and even collaging the entire inside of the box with WDW photos, and now he won't even have it in time! Alright...I'm done pouting like 5 year old, just makes me mad that nothing over there ever runs like it's suppose to. DH was scheduled to travel last week, but alas....didn't leave on time!

My mom has the Andrew's on a stick ready to carry around the park, and I plan to attach his Happy Anniversary pin to him as well. I also have my lime green Mickey heads to find fellow DISers!

I think that's all for now. I am about bouncing out of my chair I am so excited!!!! Less than 36 hours until I'm well on my way to the happiest place on earth!

I plan to take a million photos, so if possible I may load some up while we're there. We'll see!
