Sending Packages from Disney (USPS, Fed Ex, UPS): Which is cheapest, most convenient



USPS:
Has flat rate, and ground.
Where's the closest post office to WDW without a car?

FedEx:
Better rates or worse?


UPS:
They claim to have Simple Flat Rate 2 day and Ground (cheaper than USPS and bigger dimensions)
but when I went to the UPS store they said that wasn't available for common folk.

USPS, FedEx, then UPS.

Although, supposedly, if you open up a free account with FedEx and UPS, you can get lower prices.

There are a lot of inconsistent posts about which post office is closest to WDW. Are you staying at a resort? If so, then you can buy flat rate postage (you need a printer) before you leave. The max (for PayPal) to set the date for shipping is is 3 days from the date you purchase the label. It might be different on USPS.com. Then, give it to the resort front desk to mail out....although, now that I think about it, with COVID, they might not take it.

Several Disney hotels have a 'business center' that can handle shipping. Don't know about pricing. If staying at one of those hotels, probably the most convenient if you don't have a rental car to go offsite somewhere for shipping.

I seem to recall that when I went to the Business Office in the Convention Center of a Disney hotel to ship a package, they used UPS or FedEx, and I didn't have a choice as to which one to use.

If you have an account and take a label with you, it's probably a different story.

Why start a new thread when you can find one that’s nicely aged

If I bring a USPS flat rate box from home (yes, I know that’s not the most economical way) can I print a label for it at a resort business center and then give it to the front desk to mail? No big deal if I have to bring stuff home to mail, but thought it would be more fun to send if from WDW.

Are the business centers open again for shipping? Last time I asked if I could mail something home from the business center at Boardwalk (granted this was in September), I was told that service wasn’t back yet.

You can buy USPS prepaid flat rate boxes (the larger size) from their website. We brought down several and they fold up and fit in our carry on. The boxes come with a label attached and you can just right in the address for shipping. We dropped ours off at the check in desk in the Polynesian.
