Sending an e-mail from the Mission Space pavilion

For those of you who've done this, can you get to this part of the pavilion WITHOUT going on the ride?

My family nor I have any desire to ride this ride, but I'd like to see the space lab area and I'd also like to send my space-shot brother an email. He'd get a kick out of that.

Last year, I went into the gift shop by myself while the family was on TT, but I was too chicken to walk thru the pavilion on my own, lest I somehow end up on the ride. Isn't that ridiculous?

Yes you go into the space center without riding the ride. I did that when I was preggers.

You just go around the building to the Gift Shop/Exit (I am pretty sure it is to the left of the ride entrance). There is a huge area with a play area for kids and lots of computer games and an interactive Space Mission game for kids of all ages. It is a lot of fun. Our kids are always disappointed when Daddy comes off of the ride so soon--darn Fastpass!

The Exit of the ride dumps into that area so you can just arrange to meet anyone that is riding in that room, but it is dark and sometimes crowded so it may take some doing to find one another.
