I am leaving 12/4 to spend 6 nights in WDW. I am travelling with DH and DS2; the first three nights are AKL conc.
Any advice on what to ship myself (and when to send it)?
Thanks in advance.

Thirteen of us went in October and got there on a Friday. I sent our packages on Monday via UPS. UPS has a tracking system that can't be beat!

Some of the things we sent were:

diapers
wipes
tossable dishcloths (for the mugs we bought when we got there)
paper towels
disposable spoons, forks, knives and bowls
rain ponchos
cereal
fruit boxes
peanut butter in a sqeeze tube
snack crackers
raisins
graham crackers
fruit bars
breakfast bars
coffee (packed the pot in our luggage)
coffee creamer
hot chocolate mix
instant oatmeal
Water bottles - 1 each to be refilled at the parks each day, and bunches of the Crystal Light individual packettes to flavor the water.

Can't remember what else.... 52 pounds total!!

Sent them to myself care of Pop Century, with our arrival date and reservation number taped to the top and all sides of each box. Confirmed that they got there before we ever arrrived by tracking in online. Btw, one of the boxes was a lime-green stereo box, and that was very handy when it came time to have them sent to the room. Very identifiable!

HTH!!

I just packed it all in a suitcase. As I saw the cost of shipping equal to how much it would have cost to just buy it down there. We took one suitcase of snacks and wipes and all that stuff. Ziploc bags, scissors, sharpie markers, paper towels,

So that way I used the stuff and had room to bring the souviners home.

Otherwise we would not have had room to bring anything home..

FYI Diapers fit nicely in the outside pocket of soft sided luggage. We fit 40 in one of our suitcases and it was just enough for the entire trip.

Packing an extra suitcase is a real good idea if you're not taking too much, but for 13 people, shipping it all ahead was a life-saver.

Shipping was less than $30, and we had 5 children in tow, so there was plenty of luggage to carry without the extra stuff . Another plus - we didn't have to make a grocery stop with 13 people.

To the op, hope this helps!!

I agree about shipping ahead of time. I am going to put a few Xmas items in the box too so the kids dont see them in my suitcase. I had not thought of the disp. knives. Good idea. I think we should be okay with everything else that I have already got put aside.

insmom - good idea about the Christmas gifts!

One of the best things we packed were the disposable dishcloths. I picked up the Palmolive ones, but any brand is fine, and we used them everyday on our mugs, sippy cups, bottles, etc.
