Hi All,
We are getting ready to head out on vacation. Only 2 weeks to go. I'm already feeling the need for sweatpants, hooded sweatshirts and a month at the gym. Does that stop me? I think not! Here's a little about us:

Loves anything and everything baseball especially the Minnesota Twins, Disney World and anything fun. Favorite princess is Jasmine. Likes the magic of Disney to be just that, magic. Is a really picky eater but will try most things once. Favorite WDW restaurant is Kona Cafe dinner. Most looking forward to this trip.... Cookes of Dublin and Le Cellier

:smickey: Brandon 13:

Brother to Crystal. Blah blah blah teenager! How I don't miss those days. Likes fast rides, magic and any behind the scenes info he can get his little hands on. If he knows how a ride works or any of the special effects it has plug your ears because he is 10 seconds away from blabbing the secrets. Likes to eat but not willing to try new things. His favorite WDW restaurant is Whispering Canyon Cafe. Most looking forward to this trip....The Wave and Cookes of Dublin

Mother to Crystal and Brandon. Has an obsession with WDW. She wears her "handy dandy" bottle holder , camera, pin trading lanyard and a fan *see above photo* (as if people can't tell we're from Minnesota enough ) all around her neck. Doesn't like roller coasters but will go on them if we drag her but keeps her eyes shut. Will eat just about anything. Always willing to try something new. Favorite WDW restaurant is Kona Cafe also. Most looking forward to this trip....Les Chefs de France and Wolfgang Puck Express

I know what you mean Im already getting that fat feeling and i didnt even eat anything yet, just thinking of all of the food we are going to eat. I was doing my packing today and definitely brought a few pair of stretchy pants for the last few days. I usually start off with my tighter fitting shorts in the beginning but by the 4th day I have to switch to stretchys because i cant fit into them anymore comfortably. I already accept i will gain 10 pounds regardless of how much i walk but i dont mind i will worry about that when i get home.

Sheesh after I wrote this nifty report, we changed a few things around.

Instead of 1900 Park Fare Breakfast we changed to 1900 Park Fare Dinner

Instead of Big River Grille we changed to The Wave.

I'm done switching ressies around! Bring on the fatty, high sugared awesomeness!

Looks like we are going to be at Pop at the same time!!! We are going Aug 28 - Sept 3rd (my ticker is a day off though...we added one more!). I'm so excited, I bet you are too!

We will be there August 28th also! If you see us, stop by and say hi!

More changes:
Changed from Le Cellier lunch to Le Cellier dinner do to these fabulous boards! We have been trying and trying to get Le Cellier at dinner especially since they decided to make it 2 TS credits at dinner. So here I've been lurking and lurking on the Aug/Sept ressie cancellation threads and low and behold we actually got one today!

Had to keep the pixie dust blowing so I posted my lunch ressie and within a few moments, someone was able to take that. Now I feel like everything is set and I'm so stoked can't wait.

The countdown is on! T-10 days until we head out and my tummy is grumbling with anticipation!

It's finally here! We leave Minnesota and all it's gloriousness destined for Mouseville bright and early tomorrow! I've been saving my appetite so I can eat like a mad person lol! Where's our first restaurant going to be?????? I don't know stay tuned to find out :rotfl2:

We just got in about 7pm last night from a wonderful and hot trip! We had some wonderful, mediocre and some horrible meals. I'm going to upload all of our pics and get started!!!!! Can't wait to tell you about our experiences :woohoo:

Stay tuned, first review...................

Can't wait to read! I hope Kona is not on your "horrible" list as we are eating there September 28th for dinner!

Can't wait to hear all about it. Go TWINS!!!! From one Mn to another : )

So I had this beautiful report all typed up and the good old DisBoard decided to log me out while in the middle of writing it so when I went to post it never went through thus losing everything I entered so sorry but this is going to be a condensed version.

We had a 5:15 ressie for The Wave our first night there. We arrived early and checked in around 4:45. We were promptly seated at 5pm. Our server was new and a little shakey but such a nice person. We were asked our drink order and brought out bread.

The restaurant:

My cappuccino:

The bread:
SDC10463-1.jpg

The bread was fresh and great and the butter was phenomenal! It was layered with sea salt yummo!

My entree choice: Grilled Beef Tenderloin with a Port Wine Jus, Potato and Onion Gratin, and Summer Ratatouille
SDC10466-1.jpg

The beef was tender and cooked to a perfect medium like I ordered. The potatoes were the highlight of my dish though. They were like hasbrowns with nummy seasonings. I couldv'e eaten a whole plate of potatoes alone! I didn't try the ratatoullie but mom thought it was good.

Brandon's entree choice: Apple Brined Pork Tenderloin with Bourbon Sweet Mashed Potatoes, Warm Spinach-Bacon Salad, and Sassafras Jus
SDC10465-1.jpg

He thought this was good and the portions were perfect. Thought the spinach salad was the best yet!

Mary's entree choice: Chili-marinated Flat Iron Steak with warm Fingerling Potato Salad and Avocado Mousse
SDC10467.jpg

Steak was cooked to a perfect medium. The potato salad was more like roased potatoes. Thought the salad was the best thing on the plate.

The desserts:
Brandon and I ordered the No Sugar Added Desserts which came with three sample sized desserts Chocolate-Mint Mousse, Fresh Berries with Panna Cotta and Vanilla Bean Créme Brûlée
SDC10468.jpg

Creme brulee was the best I've ever tasted! Brandon thought the mint mousse was bitter and tasted like coffee. I thought it was a bit sour but still liked it. I didn't try the berries cause I was too full but Brandon loved his.

Mary ordered the Decadent Flavors which came with Blueberry Compote with Yogurt Gelato
Lemon Cornbread with Vanilla Panna Cotta and Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel Sauce
SDC10469.jpg

Thought this was good and also enjoyed the three different mini desserts!

All and all I would recommend this restaurant. It was handy to get to and handy to go to MK after dinner.

Stay tuned, next up......................
Sunshine Seasons and Boulangerie Patisserie

I totally forgot about this till I saw it on my camera but Brandon and I went to Main Street Bakery and split an ice cream cookie sandwich. We couldn't agree on cookie type so one cookie was sugar with sprinkles and the other chocolate chip.

SDC10471.jpg

This thing was ginormous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We split it in half and could barely finish half lol! Best bang for your snack credit buck in my opinion!

Sunshine Seasons
Mongolian Beef with broccoli and steamed rice
SDC10475.jpg

I thought this was alright. I wasn't too nuts about it. The rice was the best part!

Chicken with broccoli and stir-fried noodles
SDC10476.jpg

My mom and I shared both Asian entrees. This also was alright. The noodles were the best part of the entree.

Rotisserie Chicken with mashed potatoes and carrots
SDC10474.jpg

Brandon thought this was alright as well. Nothing special but not horrible.

Creme Brulee
SDC10477.jpg

Brandon loves loves loves creme brulee so he had no harsh feelings towards this little beauty.

White chocolate macadamia nut cookie
SDC10478.jpg

This was good but nothing to bark at. Just a blandish cookie.

Strawberry shortcake
SDC10479.jpg

Mary thought this was ok. Said it didn't have any flavor but looked pretty.

Boulangerie Patisserie
Napoleon
SDC10485.jpg

Mary and I shared this and this was phenomenal! I was light, crispy, flaky and great!

Another creme brulee
SDC10481.jpg

This is Brandon's order. He said it wasn't outstanding but good. He said it was creamy and crunchy like it should be.

Creme Puffs
SDC10482.jpg

This was disgusting. It tasted like a hamburger bun filled with whipping cream. I would never ever ever order this again! Yuck!!!!!!

Wow this looks like something my kids would go insane over. I didn't know you could use a snack credit for this? Crazy!
