I posted this over on the Family Board, but thought I would post here too.
There is a little 8 year old girl from my town in NJ that was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). She is fighting for her life at St. Jude hospital in Tennessee, and has relapsed.
If anyone is going to Disney any time soon, could you please find a moment to send this little girl a post card? I don't know this little girl, or even her family, but I know people who do. I can't try to imagine what they are going though right now, but I know that if one of my babies were fighting for her life, and all she wanted were post cards from around the world, I would do all I could to get them for her.
If you are visiting anywhere else this summer, she would like a post card from anywhere. Or just from your home - the little girl is from NJ, so anywhere would probably be exotic for her.
Please send the post cards to:
Mya Terry
C/O St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Thank you.

That's my life! I showed the pictures to my 4-year-old, so he could put a face to who we were writing to when we are in Disney. It is hard for him to understand that we will be sending a post card to someone we don't know. He kept saying "We know her", maybe he has seen someone that looks like her. He was all for it though. Anything to make a sick little girl smile. Cancer has hit our family hard, I have lost both my Dad's parents from it and my Mom's mom. I never did meet my Grandfather. He passed when my older sister was a baby. May I take the original post and pass it on to some of my friends?
