Want to send a care package to any soldier in harm’s way, but have no idea what to send? Who to send it to? How to send it?

Visit www.AnySoldier.us

This site started in August 2003 as a simple family effort to help the soldiers in one US Army unit. Due to overwhelming requests, efforts were expanded in January 2004 to include any US soldier. The site now lists 336 contact soldiers in seven countries touching over 18,000 soldiers serving in harms way.

AnySoldier.us provides soldier contacts—you read through the names and select the ones you wish to support. The soldiers list their needs and you can even use the search capability to easily identify units needs.

The soldiers are volunteers in this effort; they see the “Attn: Any Soldier” line added to their address and they put your letters and packages into the hands of soldiers who don’t get much or any mail.

This is about support, not just stuff. A letter, from you, your children, schools and churches is the best thing to send. But should you be so inclined, the site offers suggested items to send.

Freedom isn't free. Just ask any soldier.

Thanks, DISers!
