Selling unwanted gift cards

We have a bunch of gift cards to stores we will never shop at it. What is the best way to go about selling these giftcards? I know there are websites that you can sell them to but are any of them reputable?

I have never sold gift cards to any of the sites, but I have purchased from several of them. My favorite to purchase from is Cardpool and I would say they are very reputable. What stores do you have that you want to sell? The price offered will vary a lot. It also seems that gift cards can sell well on eBay, but I am not sure if that is a great place for sellers given the overwhelming inclination towards favoring buyers if there is a dispute.

Thanks. We have LL Bean and Joseph A Banks. I know we will take a loss on them but we would better have a use for them.

I see that you can take them to Target and get an offer now. I wonder how that compares.

I see them for sale on our local Facebook page. You would probably get more for it selling your self than to one of the resellers.

I have sold through here. It's quick and convenient.
I forget which site (there are multiple on gcg.) but some offer a higher percentage if you're willing to accept an Amazon gift card.

Most larger cities have "yard sale" type pages set up - it isn't something that is automatic, you would have to search for your area and see if there is one. You could also just post it on your own Facebook page and see if any of your friends/family want to buy them from you at a discount. I recently bought one from a Facebook group in my city where a lady returned something to Lane Bryant - she sold me a $25 merchandise credit for $20. She got some money for it and I got a card I could use for a discount.
