Selling SW credits??? booking with rr #?

I just heard you can sell SW credits on Ebay? This works? please tell!!!
Is it legal? And if you do have credits and sell them, say,you have 4 people in your family,and you're booking for 4, does each person have to have their own #? How would you sell that? under 4 different listings? one for each RR #? Or can 4 seats be booked with just one #?
I wish i'd known about this, I had some I couldn't use last spring.....

you could call and ask if you can reinstate those expired awards...

there is a 50$ fee but not sure how far back they will allow you to "ressurect" awards....

call the customer service number and not the 800 numer...

OP is asking about credits, that presuambly came from fare reductions, and not award tickets.

Many people do it, not sure if it is legal, but, you could check the listings and see how people word it for the listing. Or, better, still check Ebay's rules about selling goods like this.

the RR jumped out at me when i read the thread...thus thought he was talking about awards

if it was credits, if it ever happens again, they also do a courtesy extension of credits if you "get" the right person

SWA belongs to eBay's VERO program and they appear to stop these types of auctions pretty fast (although some do get by):

If you wish to obtain RR credit for each person, you will need to supply a RR number for each person. You cannot get RR credit for anyone but the person flying.
If you find a lower fare it does not matter if you have RR#s or not. You will still get credit if you find a lower fare. Yes, if you booked it all under one reservation the credit would be under the reservation number that you were given when you booked.
I won't even go into the business of Ebay. It is not allowed, many people get around it with cute wording. I, personally, would not do it and as such would never ever tell someone how to do it.

There are MILLIONS of auctions on eBay which violate listing policies in some way, including the listing of items which are not allowed. eBay only acts when these are reported, so many are never ended.

SW is one of the few airlines that has no change fees. They even give us a full credit when the fare goes down.

Too many ebay sales might cause them to re-consider the practice plus your auction might get pulled. I'd try to find a friend or relative who needs the credit. I understand around 90% is the going price. If you can't find someone you know consider asking for an extension.

Does anyone know if I can add rapid reward # to flights already taken. When we traveled I didn't realize that I needed a separate RR # for everyone, including my children. Can they add it now if I call, after the travel took place, so that I get RR for my kids. Thanks

Yes, assuming they have a RR number. You have to send them proof of the flight. Customer service/relations, NOT reservations, can tell you exactly what you need to do. The number is on the web site.
