I am thinking about selling one of my contracts (3 years left) and buying at a new location or even Hawaii.

Will Disney work with me in any way to make this easy or do I have to outright sell one location and then buy outright.

I really don't want another contract, just would like to trade up to a different "home" or trade down.

Hope this makes sense.

Unfortunately, you would have to sell the one ownership you don't want and then buy the ownership you do want.

Checked in to this a few years ago with Disney and your only option is to sell and then re-buy.

As noted, it's sell and rebuy. Two closings plus brokers fees around 10%. However, if they did do this, don't think it'd be easy or cheap. For example, when Marriott does it they normally require the difference to be at least $15K and they charge the commission to you on what you trade in on top of that. Assume you owned SSR and wanted BCV both at 200 pts. Resale you're looking at a difference of around $10K difference or greater. Better to just buy an add on resale for the new resort than to sell. The exceptions are when you're going from a far more in demand, higher price resort to a lower one and if one is downsizing significantly.
