You know you've thought of it. You've got that Soarin fastpass and there are no more available. Would you sell it if you had a buyer?

On the other hand if someone came up to you and offered you their Soarin fastpass for 5 bucks each would you take it? Saving an hour and a half in line would be super nice.

I know this practice is TOTALLY forbidden by Disney and have NEVER done it or even come close. Just wanna hear if it's crossed your minds and the ole "what if" scenario.:rolleyes1

No. And I don't believe this kind of thread is permitted either.

I would not sell it. If i wasn't going to use it I would give it away. However, if it was not forbidden or should I say endorsed by Disney I would buy it. An hour and a half or two hours saved would be worth $5.

ETA - just saw the above post. Not sure why this post would not be allowed as it is stated as a "hypothetical"...oh, what do I know these days, LOL. Erase my post if responding is also not allowed.

We always give ours away and I wouldn't buy them but not because of any ethical dilemma.

It is kind of ironic that selling of a Fastpass would be allowed and probably embraced by many if Disney did it. You know, like when you purchase a deluxe room or stay on site, hmm...they wouldn't do that would they?? ;)

No, I have never thought of that.

And in fact, I would not even start a thread about it if someone offered me $5 to do so. ;)

Actually the DIS does have guidelines and discussion of things that are against policy are not allowed.

I know. You aren't suppose to talk about politics, religion, or be condescending and mean but I see alot of that on here too. It's just a what-if discussion. The ole moral delimma, just Disney style.

I've never thought about selling one.

When we've had extra, we'd find someone who looked like they could use some magic and offer them.

Like when we were leaving DHS last time and had 2 Fp's for RnRC left. We gave them to a couple who had little ones and we're debating if they had time to ride once since it was getting late. The FP's made their day.

I'd happily give one away and have in the past. If I needed the money, I'd be willing to sell, but it wouldn't be worth the hassle involved with selling. Hell, they were difficult enough to GIVE away!

I'd pay for one, too.

I wish Disney would just get on with the FPP or XP or whatever the new FP is going to be.

I always told my parents we should do this as a young teen if we couldnt make it back to the ride, my parents would always tell me that it was illegal for disney or something like that and we could get thrown out of the park for it, so we either gave them away or kept them as souvenirs.

every visit every year I end up with a fast pass I cannot use.
(I am cursed from both Test Track and TSM) so, I happily give the pass away.
:goodvibes

I find a family with one smal child, so either mom or dad could have a break and enjoy the attraction. My gift is always met with thanks. I could not even remotely think about selling it. Never has it crossed my mind.

No, the thought never crossed my mind. I have given Fastpasses to other families. That made me feel good, bestowing Pixie Dust on others. pixiedust: And it was a feel-good example to my child of "Paying It Forward." :flower3:

We wouldn't buy Fastpasses off someone, either. That's shady dealing, to us. Another good lesson for our child. Sorry to disappoint.

We gave away two Soarin' fastpasses during our last trip. It never occurred to me to even think of selling it.

I have NEVER sold or bought a fastpass. I wouldn't. I love Disney so much. I'm simply saying of course the thought has crossed my mind when you have that fastpass in your hand and you're passing easily a thousand people in line you feel like you've got a backstage pass to a Justin Bieber concert (I'm being silly). Jokingly I would say....."man we could hock these tickets!"

I'm just wondering if anyone has thought the same thing. Don't want to be accused of blastpheme, or being morally bad.

I am routinely accused of once being a FP abuser because of how I used them in the past. I can honestly say I don't think I've ever thought of selling them. I gave six away last week to two groups of three without a second thought.

Enjoy your party.

Nope, never crossed my mind. I don't go to WDW to make money, I go for the joy it brings me and my family. Part of that joy is giving away fast passes when you know you can't or won't use them. I think the word despicable accurately describes anyone that would try to sell them.

You and I are similar criminals - I am an old school fastpass collector who believed in using them whenever it was convenient to do so (i.e. late. if applicable).

Still, I've given away many a fastpass, have never thought about buying or selling them.

And really... I've already paid multiple thousands of dollars to take my family to WDW. There is no way that I would trade our vacation time for a few bucks.

just find it funny that people that hoarded FPs in the past and often prevented others from getting FPs on the most popular attractions are appalled at the thought of buying and selling of FPs but had no problems with acting as a secondary distributor of FPs just so they could feel better about themselves or spread "pixie dust". Whatever that means.

Reminds me of a group of people once that hoarded all the CRT ressies and acted as a secondary distributor.

Also, ironic that some of these same people that claim FP "rule follower" act self righteous are now displaying similar behavior.

All very interesting to watch.

I don't know who you are...but you just made my night!

I think it is a magical thing to distribute unused FP's....

Thank you to the guy who gave us FP's to Space Mountain on 6/1.....

I'd love to reciprocate... It's the magical thing to do...

(HUGS)
