Other than Craig's List or Ebay, is there a site to sell GC's on? I have a large GC for Lowes and the fee to sell it on ebay is $$$$. I tried Craig's List, but haven't had any luck yet.

If you don't have any luck on craigslist, you could try a website that buys gift cards like plasticjungle.com. I have never used them but they give you a percentage of what the gc is worth.

Thanks! But unfortunately I think the GC is too high ($500) for Plasticjungle since when I type it in, nothing comes up. If I do a lower amount, an amount comes up they will purchase it for. I went ahead and listed it on ebay, it kills me to have to pay all those fees, but oh well.

As a follow up to my post I had someone purchase it a little while ago on ebay. I was thrilled, then I saw he is new, has only 3 feedbacks and has won thousands of dollars in gift cards in the past week. I emailed him and told him I would probably cancel the transaction since something doesn't sit right with me. He said no problem, refund me immediately. He didn't even try to convince me otherwise! I told him I would refund him when he approved the cancellation of transaction through ebay so I don't get charged the fees.

I was going to send it with delivery confirmation and signature required, but I'm not even sure how you prove you mailed a gift card with xxxx dollars when the buyer could say it has something else on it and then I risk a chargeback. I really hope his other sellers don't get screwed!!

Could you take it to Lowe's and see if they'll let you split it into smaller gift cards? Like, 2 $250 or 5 $100. Maybe those would sell better?

This is a great idea and what I would probaby do. You would probably have no trouble getting rid of them if they are a lower amount. Alao, I wopuld feel uneasy about that ebay transaction. Good call on cancelling it!

Well he did email again saying he was buying so many for bing cashback, and had to create a new ebay account since he used up all his bing cashback allowable purchases on his other account. He went ahead and agreed to the cancellation. I sort of feel like a jerk now, but oh well...better safe than sorry!

I might just get some patio furniture with it now, the selling thing is annoying me now LOL.

Glad you found a solution to this.

It brought to mind a poster on here a while back selling a GC on ebay and the winner's hubby picked it up, she denied receiving it, contested it on ebay and tried getting her money back. I wonder what ever became of that? I know the poster/seller filed with the USPS and I think it might have been pretty bad if they were found guilty.
