kel3420,
I would try to list the sale on
www.tug2.net and some other free internet classifieds and see if there are any real nibblers within the next 3-7 days.
If not, go ahead and list with the Timeshare Store. They provide a good service.
However, if you do get an acceptable offer that you won't have to pay the commission on, use a closing service such as the Timeshare Closing Service (is this the one that the Timeshare Store uses?) to do the paperwork including sending it to Disney for ROFR. Usually the buyer pays for the closing unless you agree to split some of the costs.
I think they even have a sample sales agreement that they can fax you and you can modify to your needs.
I've bought resale from a broker as well as a private sale through an internet classified ad. All went well with both and they both took about the same time.
The seller told me to definitely sell it privately if I needed to. He said they were swamped with offers for weeks after. Some people even offered to pay more than the asking price when they heard that it was being sold already. We had made an offer first and we were ready to proceed immediately. The seller wanted to make a quick sale, we had offered they asking price and they liked us - so they didn't want to back out for a few extra bucks.
Make sure you use a different e-mail address from your regular one, unless you want e-mails months later asking about your
DVC sale - a painfull as well as annoying reminder that you even had to sell!
Good luck and hope things improve for you!
