Selling college textbooks

I bought and sold a good portion of my college texts on half.com. In fact I sold the last college text that I own last night (behavior disorders) for 4.00 (it was rather beat)

Honestly, the easiest, best place to sell textbooks for me has been Amazon. I've gotten the most money back vs the "send us your textbook we will give you the $$ right away" places online. I'm talking about a difference of $40-50 back (Amazon over the other places).

I have bought and sold on half.com for about 5 years now and have never had a problem. It is very user friendly.

Valorebooks.com. If you list them yourself and ship them yourself, you'll make significantly more. However, if they're old books (like older than a semester or two, you'll probably have a hard time selling them).

Valore will pay for you to ship the books to them and they usually offer more than the bookstore.

To find the best buyback price and even best price to buy college books online you can check here http://www3.bigwords.com. I have had a lot of good luck with this and always get the online prices before checking the campus book store. This way I get the most for my books. I do a lot of business with Textbooks.com as well. They will send you a check. From what I understand from a friend, Amazon gives store credit and I do not like that.

if your text books are current go look up when the next class that uses them starts show up 5 mins before class and offer them up for less then the bookstore. I always sold my text books at near cost using this technique.

We sold our sons on half.com and did VERY well. I recommend them.

I used to sell books on Amazon, but when I did the math, sometimes, I noticed that Amazon took most of the cut away that it almost felt like I was working for them to make them more money based on my efforts. So I switched to half.com and ebay which seems to get a fairer cut of the share. Most of the time, I like half.com the best.
