Selling a large membership with multiple contracts

Right again. My husband died on January 30th. I just don't have the same enthusiasm for anything anymore plus I could use the money. I still love DVC and will miss going to visit Mickey on a regular basis.

Sorry for your loss, know where you are coming from. If I lost the wife would not want to go to WDW, we have many memories there. Over 20 trips in 37 years.

New here, here is my odd question, why would someone have 27 contracts?

It is called Add-on-itis.
Or, for larger point amounts, people buy smaller contract sizes for easier resale. Example. You want 500 AKV points. You buy 5 100pt contracts.

I am so sorry.. Maybe you could sell some of the contracts and keep a couple 'just in case'? I know advice is to not make any big decisions for a year. I'm so sorry for you loss.

Actually the owner had 24 contracts. This owner has a lot of points and they are spread out over 24 contracts. It is actually better in my opinion to own contracts of 300 points or less rather than own a 1000 point contract for example.

Yes, I understand that it would be hard to sell 1000 points in one contract, but if you have to sell all of them at once that's a lot of fees and possibly closing costs.

In sales, buyer pool size is a big factor. There are few people that can both afford and would pay for a 1000 pt contract. They may actually never sell so the cost of selling is moot.

There are thousands of people who can afford and will buy 100 pt contracts. Your net may be lower after all the fees, but they have sold.

Even if you sell them all to one person, there are set fees. You might be able to negotiate some down, but not most. So there's really no advantage in trying to sell altogether other than being done with it. You're far less likely to sell, if you do, it'll take longer and the sales price would inevitably eat up the savings and benefits of selling at once.
