Any reviews on this broker?

www.smts.com

I made a mistake and got my names confused with the timeshare store guy....but now smts guy has a possible rental. I need to know if anyone has used them & your experience if you care to share.

Thank you!!!

On the sell side, they are borderline fraudsters who charge a lot to list a timeshare for sale without making much of an effort to actually sell it. I would stay away.

Thanks for the heads up. makes me want to run far far away..... Hubby actually talked to the guy & was perplexed when he had to ask for banked points, verses how many are coming... the guy went to check with the seller. so I was already thinking this wasn't the normal dvc seller... I'll report back if we get an estimate of closing costs just to see how it stacks up.

If you do a quick search on Tug you'll find they are one of those online deals that charge people just to list their timeshare for sale and then overcharge buyers w/ their non negotiable inflated 'closing costs' which include fees that no legitimate DVC broker charges.
Unlike the majority of timeshares, DVC thus far has held a reasonable resale value and there's enough demand that there are legitimate brokers who specialize in DVC who are experts in how DVC sales work, no need to go to an online 'business' like sell my timeshare now which has no knowledge of DVC or ROFR or closing in Florida, etc.. I suspect sell my timeshare now makes most of it's money from fees paid by sellers desperate to stop paying MFs on their timeshares rather than on actual sales of timeshares.
