I need to buy a high chair soon. I don't know which to buy and don't want to buy one only to return it and get another.

I want it to recline and I want the removable top tray. Other than that I don't know what I want LOL!

Please tell me what you have and why you love it or why you don't.
Thanks so much :cutie:

Take a look at the Baby Trend brand from Babies R Us, this was a great highchair for us-it's still used occassionally-it has held up really well and was a good price, and has all the features you are looking for (from your post). We have always had luck with the Baby Trend brand.

I looked all over mine for the brand and cannot find it...

So...It is like this--may be even the same brand::confused3
http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Space-Saver-Chair-Scatterbug/dp/B002OOWAK8

It attaches to a kitchen or dining room chair. The tray removes with one hand AND you can recline it! So I don't have to worry about space for a large high chair and stand. And it can be tucked away, convert to a booster (by removing the tray), and has a harness system, not just a lap belt.

Can't remember if I got this for baby#2 or #3--but I do know it is being used by #4 at the moment.

It is also something you can take with you to other places--provided you have room in the trunk with your luggage. It isn't too big--but if you are tight on space, then it may not be able to go with you.

We have the Graco Blossom Highchair and I love it! http://www.amazon.com/Graco-1776144...s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1315846191&sr=1-3
It has a reclining seat, removable tray cover and adjustable height. You can use it as a highchair, take the seat off and attach it to a chair, with the seat off you can use it as a toddler seat, and mine came with a separate booster seat too! You could use it for 2 children at the same time.

If you have any questions just let me know!

Personally I woulldn't buy a stand up high chair, they always see, to get in the way. I loved the one like what Lisa Loves Pooh posted. They are at table with everyone else and you can take it grandmas if you want.

I really want a stand up chair because she wants to see what is going on. I want to be able to pull her around the kitchen depending on what I am doing! She loves to watch me prepare dinner and I can't have my son hold her so she can see every night!!

I pull her chair around all the time. Dining chairs move. ;) (ETA: I should say kitchen chair as we have a kitchen table and eat in the kitchen.)

I have this one and LOVE it! We don't have room for a high chair plus a dining room table and 6 chairs. I can bring it anywhere in the house, and I've also taken it off the chair and put it on the floor to have a picnic dinner a few times. Very easy to clean because the entire cover comes off and can go in the wash. There aren't very many nooks and crannies to stuff to get stuck in - just wash with soap and water. It has 3 recline features so it can be used from infant to toddler. The top half of the back comes off as well to make it more like a booster for older kiddos. I especially like that I can take it off the chair for another seat and it tucks away easily. Yeah, I really love it.

This is what we just got. We obviously haven't used it yet, but I registered for it because I knew I didn't want to have a big bulky plastic chair in my small eat in kitchen space. Plus it turns into a booster seat as well.

We have the Fisher Price Rainforest high chair. It reclines in three positions, has a removable tray, an additional tray with compartments, as well as a stand up toy that attaches to the top of tray when they just want to sit and play. It's held up well and DGS2 is still using it.

I agree with everyone that suggests the chairs that attach to a dining room chair. I have the safety 1st version and love it. I have two kids and it's held up for both. I love that you can put the tray in the dishwasher and that the entire seat is portable. You don't know how handy this is! Also, this seat is only $40 compared to the $100 plus you will pay for a stand alone.

I understand if this isn't what you are for. However, I would not purchase one new, as used baby stuff is so easy to find. Craigslist, garage sales. You can save TONS of money and get really great stuff.

I also have a Fisher Price Easy Fold high chair. I got it 10 years ago when my DD9 was born & am still using it for my DS4 (he has eating issues). The tray comes off, it reclines, the seat cover is washable, and it can be raised or lowered so the child can sit at the table without the tray. It has held up so well through 3 kids. I too prefer the stand alone high chairs but that's probably because I have space for it in my kitchen. My SIL has one that attaches to the chair & loves it.

I second this recommendation. We have this for our 16 month old.

We have this (in a different color and pattern than shown) and we LOVE it! My daughter is 15 months old and really likes her highchair. She seems incredibly comfortable in it and it fits well in our dining area. Most importantly I love how easy it is to clean!

We had the Fischer Price Space Saver chair and LOVED it. I loved that it did not take up much space and we could use it as a booster seat too. Both my girls used it.

We also have/had the Fisher Price Space Saver and it worked great for us. It's now at my parents' house because I won a Peg Perego Tatamia high chair ($$$$$!) that we now use at home. Our then-2.5 year old nephew used the space saver when he visited last fall and it worked well for him, too.

I second getting the space saver chair. It does everything you want it to do except it isn't freestanding since it attaches to a chair. It cleans easily, puts together easily, sits on the chair very securely if your chair has horizontal bars across the back (won't work well with vertical), converts to a booster and reclines for smaller infants.

My girls have been out of high chairs for a while, but if I were buying again (which, I suppose, I will one day for a grandchild), I would buy one of those square all-wood high chairs that they have in restaurants.

- When the baby's small, you can turn them upside down and it's a "seat" for the baby's car seat. This lets you keep the baby right by the table while you're eating.
- It scoots up under the table like an adult chair, so the child can eat with the family. I liked this tremendously, and my girls sat in their high chair pulled up to the table until they were about three years old.
- Nothing on these all-wood high chairs can be ruined, so you can expect it to last forever. In contrast, my cushy plastic high chair cracked, and we had to keep a cloth cover on it all the time. Crappy Graco product -- wait, that's redundant.
- The price is right: Less than $50.

If you go with a more traditional high chair, choose a model with wheels and a tray that can be removed with one hand.

It is INCREDIBLY dangerous to use those types of seats for car seats. They are easily bumped into and then down comes baby, car seat and all.
