... It can be anywhere, but preferably in the USVI.

We want white sandy beaches and crystal clear turquiose water. We want to be able to eat all day long, and free drinks are even better! Activities aren't all that important.

So, what is your favorite, or what do you recommend?

Do you have money to burn?
This is by far the nicest place I have ever been. And DRINKS ARE INCLUDED!!:cool1:
A little story. DH and I dedide to take a little bike ride around the tiny island(It's a private island off the coast of Antigua) and we find a little beach with some chairs so we go sit down- then under a nearby tree we find a cooler full of DRINKS! They even stocked the outer beaches.

One of my favorite parts of that trip was sitting in my beach chair- reading- looking down the beach and seeing the bartender heading my way with a Jumby Jamboree! mmmmm

Looks AWESOME! But not that much money to burn! Ouch! :scared:

Our favorite is Young Island (private island off the coast of St. Vincent). www.youngisland.com. Very private and the service is fantastic! Drinks are not included, but we found it didn't add up to much by the end of the week. Our room had a refrigerator and we stocked up on some of our own liquor too.

If you're looking for something more mainstream, we really like the Iberostar Resort chain for all inclusives. We've stayed in both the Mexican Riviera and Punta Cana and had a great time there. Lots of activities for the whole family.

Well... I live in the Virgin Islands and am sorta an expert on the Caribbean in general. The USVI is not a place that has all-inclusives. St. Thomas is to be avoided at all costs. National Geographic rated it the worst island in the world. It just isn't that beautiful and is filled with tourists. St. John is the most nature filled island of the USVI, not a whole lot to do but very beautiful. St. Croix is where I live. It is not a big nightlife island but is nice on the eyes. A few great beaches and I can give you a list of all the great restaurants. You need a car, but staying at a resort like Carambola or Buccanneer will give you access to golf as well. Feel free to ask any questions.

We've never been, but know people who have gone to Beaches Turks and Caicos and love it. Have friends and family who have gone to AIs in the Dominican Republic and say never again...I know some people love it, but that is just their experience with it.

Have you looked into the Sandals resorts? I haven't tried it, but am considering the Beaches resorts for next year. Sandals is adult only, and Beaches is the family friendly version. They are ultra all-inclusive, so top shelf liquor is included. Lots of locations to choose from. They are also running some really great specials right now... I received an email offer for 40% off not very long ago, bringing it down to WDW pricing for my family for a week. http://www.sandals.com/

Super Clubs is another one similar to Sandals. Not sure which of the resorts are adult only. http://superclubs.com/

We've been to Beaches Turks and Caicos 5 times with our 6th trip booked for next year. The water is the most beautiful we've ever seen and it keeps making us go back again and again.

Sandals resorts are wonderful! We've been to Sandals Royal Bahamian, Sandals Grande St Lucian, Sandals Regency (St Lucia), Sandals Whitehouse and Sandals Royal Caribbean. We've also visited Sandals Negril and Beaches Negril. The beach there is very nice and large and the water is pretty!

I can't think of any all-inclusives in the USVI...at least not like the Sandals/Beaches/Breezes model.

I am not sure what your budget is, but Caneel Bay on St. John is absolutely beautiful. It has seven beaches, and they do offer a meal plan. There are water toys available, scuba diving, etc., but it is a very quiet and laid back resort. For example, there are no TVs or phones in the rooms. You are expected to entertain yourself. The snorkeling is fabulous and the beaches are beautiful. I'm not sure if it's what you are looking for...I've stayed there eight times and love it. Here's a link:

There are some all-inclusives in the British Virgin Islands. Here are a couple I like. Bitter End Yacht Club:

Biras Creek:

We've been thinking about doing a Beaches T&C vacation, but a little leary since one of our DDs has such serious food allergies and other health issues.
But wow, the photo is gorgeous! Who wouldn't love that?

I keep going back and forth between Beaches Boscobel and a cruise. We aren't able to travel this year, but so by next year we will be ready for a nice, long getaway.

We did 2 all inclusives in Jamaica, one was Grand Lido Negril, the other Sandals Negril. Both absolutely gorgeous. Sandals was beautiful in that they had outdoor seating on the beach for some of their restaurants and was very pretty. GLN however wins hands down as far as food, luxury and how you are treated. We have never in our lives been treated better as far as amenities in any hotel anywhere as we were in GLN. You get 24 hour room service and food drinks served to your room any time of the day or night. The food was the best food we have ever eaten at any hotel resort anywhere. And all free. The workers there were the best we have ever come across either, so accommodating and lovely in every way. But you can't go wrong with either. GLN does have a topless and CO small beach to one side tho warning you if you have issues with that, but is in a separate area. But it is very classy place. Sandals was also beautiful. I hear Turks and Caicos wins hands down as far as the beach itself goes, but they had a nice beach. We stayed at the resorts and didn't leave the property tho bc Jamaica itself has a lot of poverty. We hated St. John's when we stopped there on our cruise.

Oh we are looking for somewhere to go in February and I think my mind is made up for the Maldvies. But I would still love to go to the Caribbean one day, perhaps St Lucia. Oh such decisions!

Claire ;)

How about a tropical all-inclusive that's a good spot for teenage boys? I'm looking for a place that will keep my two teenage boys occupied with other things besides water activities.

For a 4* resort, check out Royal @ Playa del Carmen (not Hideaway which is much more expensive). You can even walk to 5th Avenue from here. October 2007, 7 nights cost $1100. Downside is definately the 45 minute van ride from the airport.

For a 3* resort, try Royal Solaris Cancun. The beach is just as nice, its at the far end of the hotel zone but a quick bus ride for fifty cents right outside the front door, but the rooms and restaurants are less posh. March 2009, 5 nights cost $600. I particularly liked that we could go downtown, take a ferry to Isle Mujerus, and do things off the resort.
