Sell me on Wine Bar George

I personally don't feel that it's full on dinner option. We've gone there when we've got off the plane or when have or will be having a larger meal otherwise in the day.
It's a great drink and appetizer option. IMO

Any suggestions for somewhere like The Edison? We want to do new things on this trip.

Thanks!

I filled up on olives, saganaki, and dessert plus a drink of some sort after I was informed there was neither Ouzo nor Tsipouro. :scared:
We had a great time sitting outside upstairs overlooking the crowd.

I've been for lunch, dinner, mid-day "snacks" and weekend brunch and love it. To be clear, there were menu items that appealed to me before I ever visited. Everything we've tasted has been outstanding. I think of it as a signature but at a single credit (back in the dining plan days). I've always been very impressed with the hospitality and the wine knowledge is incredible -- if you're interested in trying and learning about new wines, this is the spot (and it's not pretentious AT ALL - I know next to nothing about wine but like learning). If nothing on the menu is appealing, I still think it's worth a stop for a drink.

We love making meals out of shared small plates and that is what the food at WBG is all about. The portions are generous - that Big Board is huge!! - and very filling. You won't leave hungry. We love sampling the interesting wines and the servers are so helpful and knowledgable. It's one of our favorite restaurants on property. Our son isn't a wine drinker, but he still enjoys it as he loves the food and can always find a beer or cocktail that he likes.

The menu isn't huge, but what they have is very well done.

The draw is the amazing wine list and staff that can walk you through the list whether you know about wine or not.
The appetizers are good. Not a dinner place, IMHO.

I had the hummus and pita, and my cousin had the fried macaroni and cheese. I also had the sangria and she had something involving dole whip (or that tasted like dole whip).

We were worried about it not being filling, but WOW it was. I don't like fried mac and cheese, but my cousin said it was great, despite it only being 4 balls of mac and cheese. The hummus was AMAZING. The pita was the best pita I've ever had. And the cucumbers were nice.

Definitely some of the more simple food, but we didn't even order dessert because it was good and filling.

My lives on wine bar snacks, so she went to dinner there when she had a training at one of the disney springs hotels.

But we frequently go to the winery around the corner from my house, and just eat appetizers and drink wine.

I remember there being more options the last time we went (we had some sort of pork small plate that was delicious, though expensive). We aren't huge eaters, so we've had no trouble making a meal out of three small plates shared between two people. The cocktails are wonderful.
Someday I want to go with more people and get the family style steak. It looks amazing, but way more than the two of us could eat.

I make a meal out of the burrata, really enjoy the wine menu and met George on one of my visits. No, the menu isn't large but what's on the menu is well done. That said, if it doesn't appeal to you, there's no need to go just because lots of others like it. Loads of people love 'Ohana. I've been once and hope to never go back. Different things appeal to different people.

We usually eat multiple dinners and brunch at least once per trip here. Take a look at the menu and see if it appeals to you. In my opinion if you make good food you don't need a big menu. We have never had anything bad here and it is consistent which is saying a lot at Disney.
