Sell me on Contempo Cafe for lunch...

So our first day in Disney we normally go to Columbia Harbour House for lunch when in MK and we LOVE it. Now I'm torn...do we do CHH for lunch or do we try Contempo Cafe?

We have no ADRs this trip in the Contemporary so I thought it might be a nice change but hate to give up the beloved CHH if it's not as good. What do you all think?

Having eaten at both, I'd definitely do CHH. Contempo Café is fine if I'm at CR and don't want to go someplace else to eat, but IMHO it's not destination dining.

I am not a Columbia Harbor House fan. I mean its not bad but its not super impressive either. I like Contemp Cafe. They have really good sandwiches and they're huge. Perfect for sharing. We usually order two different ones and swap so we each get a half lol. They also have really good cupcakes there.

I'd stick with CHH. If you were going to be at the CR anyways, then it's not like I'd go out of my way to avoid Contempo Cafe, but there's also nothing really exciting about it. If you're going to be in MK anyways, then I def. wouldn't leave just to eat at Contempo Cafe. The cupcakes are good, but everything else is pretty standard (and really most of the cupcakes are standard too).

I'm with the others. We spend a good amount of time at CR and enjoy the Contempo Cafe, but I wouldn't go there just for it. By the same token I'm not walking through the MK for CHH either.

Ditto. Our boys don't like CHH. It is about the only place they don't like. But they adore the contempo. We go there every trip for dinner.

BUT I'd say to compare menus at both. Only you know what y'all will enjoy!

If I'm going to leave a park for a meal, it has to be worth the time and effort to do it. There's nothing wrong with Contemporary Cafe, but I'm not going to make a special trip for it.

Contempo Cafe is good, but i wouldn't leave MK just to eat there.

Thanks everyone! I love a good cupcake but I can always get one of those at Starring Rolls another day! ;-)
